PlanValley is a media server technology company that creates dynamic and interactive visual experiences for a wide range of clients.

Role Overview:
We're recruiting a Video Technician for our London branch. This position involves receiving digital content, and operating video players for on-site screens at various locations, including stadiums.

Responsibilities:
Set up and operate video equipment at various locations.
Double-check video file deliveries to ensure they match the required specs of a venue.
Troubleshoot issues related to video players
Understanding of video standards such as codecs, frame rates, and resolutions etc..

Qualifications:
Experience in a role involving AV.
Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Willingness to work at different venues, during varied hours, and travel abroad for events and installations.
Basic understanding of projection mapping, pixel mapping, video over network solutions like NDI, and media servers.

We at PlanValley only use high level server-grade equipment to ensure a perfect setup for your projects & events, here's some of the differences between server grade and consumer grade equipment:

Server grade equipment is designed and built for mission-critical applications where reliability and stability are essential. These servers are engineered with more robust components that are specifically designed to handle high workloads and constant usage, providing greater performance and durability over time. They are also often equipped with additional features like redundant power supplies, hardware-based RAID controllers, and error-correcting memory.

On the other hand, consumer grade equipment is typically designed for individual use and not optimized for high workloads or 24/7 usage. These products may be less expensive, but they lack the durability and reliability compared to server grade equipment. They are not designed to handle high levels of stress or heavy usage, and are more prone to hardware failures and performance issues.
