E. J. Ferguson

E. J. Ferguson Elizabeth is a Georgia native living in Germany, a diplomatic political analyst. This client remains a priority for me.

What people don't realize is that my real government success didn't start in the US. Yes, I started in the field of politics working in the office of cousin Senator Lamar Alexander, and took graduate courses in policy. This was during the Obama healthcare legislation when Senator Alexander and Senator McCain, who went to flight school with my father, were the Senior GOP leaders analyzing the probl

ems with the legislation. Then I worked for the World Trade Center association, working with economic development ministries from governments around the world. My real experience with government started in Scotland in 2014, and I have documented this elsewhere. Because of family connections in the small localized community of Bute Island, my opinion and insight was sought, and I worked with the incoming Sturgeon administration to address the economic issues I understood from the local community. It is because I had a front row seat to UK politics and Brexit that my classmate, Jake Sullivan, welcomed by contributions to the 2016 Clinton campaign. If you observe my Twitter account, it is set up largely with this focus on Scotland government and politics as a priority, though I have to use it for commentary on US and Georgia politics as well. My residence in Germany started in 2015, and it has positioned me as well to assist Jake Sullivan with German and European diplomacy, particularly during the Merkel transition. However, the support I have contributed to Sullivan and the Biden administration, as he knows, all stems from success with the government in Scotland, and this remains a model for success in functional government I have scaled and replicated in other cases. To help connect the dots about my areas of focus logically:
My maternal family comes from Germany, primarily Rhineland-Pfalz. My family information is here: https://www.schembs.com/
But my great-grandmother was also born in Yuest, which was part of Germany. My paternal family has been in North America since the mid 17th century, and I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and my family has been influential in Georgia politics for several centuries. My paternal grandfather is the Ferguson, and my ties to Scotland, and I was also raised with Scottish culture as a primary influence. I attended a top Christian prep school in Atlanta, GA, but also grew up in Gilmer County, Georgia. I attented Yale, where I have a degree in Biology, with a heavy concentration theology and religious studies, following which I worked as an editor for a medical research journal, and studied a lot of history, including Scottish history, as well as Russian and Chinese history.

Recently a conversation on the "Resistance" has been going on in my circle. My Cherokee generational Democrat friend went to a Resistance meeting. I asked her Resistance to what? She said Resistance to Trump. I said how was it. Both of us were groaning a lot during this conversation.
She said that the mostly just want to do things to be seen doing things.
I said oh so more Performative Grandstanding Dems are known for and Georgia voters can't stand.
Her take was "virtue signalling."
I also said this is my problem that politics is not a place for other people to validate their opinions.

So Resistance movements during WW2 Germany France and Netherlands actually helped people. It seems a mockery of the people who put their lives at risk to draw any comparison.
Then I saw Bernie Sanders attaching himself as the self appointed leader of "virtue signalers." And thought our Georgia Senators better not get in the clown car with Bernie the clown.

When I talked to my father, my father said great. He LOVES it when Democrats involve themselves in meaningless performative grandstanding because it makes it super easy for him to campaign in Georgia when the Democrats are involved in meaningless nonsense.
I guess that's the question. Why Democrats are so good at giving Republicans the upper hand and like doing things that guarantee that they lose?

I am having alumni mentees coming to me with questions about my political analysis experience. "Frustrating" is the only word I can think of. What can I tell them when the left has lost their minds and sound as extreme as MAGA?

However, one woman heading into military intelligence listened what I explained the mistakes Obama made that set off conservatives. And Trump playing games and being ridiculous.

She contacted me raving how much it's helped her understand the behavior of both groups extremely well and wanting to discuss the implications on US foreign relations before starting her program.

Incredible events. Everyone can agree a result of reduction of support from Russia. Interesting that they have been trying to overextend the US by creating more conflicts in Israel.
Due to leadership from the Biden administration to understand that weakening Russia was a policy priority. With leadership from Jake Sullivan we are seeing the first domino impact.

Two sides had hypothesis this summer during the GA State Election Board conflict.
Liberals supported hypothesis of Stacey Abrams has promoted since 2018 that the reason Democrats lose is because black voters are removed from registration lists.

Conservatives had a hypothesis that Democracy Docket wanted to keep false voter registrations on the list because Democrats intended to use them for voter fraud to win.

Applying scientific method to the results of this election, we can make the following observations. Democracy Docket sued anyone challenging any voter registrations, so the election was conducted with lists which were inaccurate.
Democrats lost. Therefore Stacey Abrams has had her hypothesis disproven.
Democrats lost. Therefore Conservatives were also incorrect with their hypothesis.
I consider this matter concluded. Jaime Harrison MSNBC Neither hypothesis ever needs to be revisted.

I spent 1.70Euros today on postage to mail in my ballot, and it was not because the Democratic Party or Democratic Party of Georgia convinced me of anything. I was half not motivated to pay the postage to vote for Kamala Harris when it's such a botch job losing in Georgia.
What motivated me to pay the postage? Fani Willis who has represented me. My vote for Biden in 2020 was what Trump asked GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to throw out. I paid 1.70 Euros to vote for her to continue representing me as Fulton County Government District Attorney.
Anyone else on the ballot who also got my vote should feel lucky. Send Fani Willis a thank you for my vote for you.

My mentor was curious about a lot of my background and ongoing correspondence with Jake Sullivan, and I told her I reconnected with him in 2016 to cross the aisle to work on Clinton's campaign. She said "oh you're one of the post-Trump republicans crossing over?"
I said "no I was pre-Trump. Before he got elected. [backstory about David Cameron] I said "he is a weak leader and personality and this will be bad." So now there are all of these Republicans who said "I worked for him and learned my lesson after voting for him." No, I'm not one of those, I saw it coming, and started helping try to beat him before he got in there. Where were they when I was telling then in 2016 how bad it would be and they didn't listen?"

Catching up with Canadian business friend, who I haven't spoken to in a year, he shocked me. We are both people who find Michelle Obama to be INCREDIBLY impressive as a speaker, and expect her words and language to have impact and resonate.
When he told me he was watching a speech of hers lately thinking "oh Trump is going to be in trouble," and heard her go to extreme hyperbole that is uncharacteristic of her straight shooting style, saying "Trump will mean women don't have OBGYNs and will die from cancer," I was in shock as well. He thought "oh she's actually helping Trump never mind," but since we both know the quality of her rhetoric, both of us were stunned at this move by her, and not in a good way.

It is incredibly frustrating to me that Kamala Harris has lost her 8 point lead in ALL swing states in the past two weeks, by not following my list of rules "how not to lose elections" that Jaime Harrison has been working with me for eight years.
And Liberals are laughing am me, when Trump is now winning? I got another message about my favorite liberal troll laughing at my post.
Today I was talking to a new mentor in political science/ political strategy and intelligence. When I told her the rule #147 "Voters do not care about your excuses" that I tell Scotland, Germany, and the US parties, she immediately saw the correlation. "Oh yeah Harris has been harping on "The Republicans blocked this and this."" I did not even have to explain that application to her.

Compared to the Georgia Democrats he at least seems to be more aware where his problem areas are.
Today "con man" "first black President" Bill Clinton who left a wake of disappointment in unfulfilled promises in the black community in GA who voted for him because they believed his con.
And Josh Shapiro who literally two months ago was seen on videos saying he has a huge agenda for Georgia's economy to become more like Pennsylvania because it's Georgia's fault that big corporations have unsustainable union practices, which the small business based Georgia economy is somehow responsible for.
Would be great players to move the ball backward on the field for Kamala Harris

The town hall, which coincides with the day in-person early voting launches in Georgia, will be held with an audience comprised entirely of women.

The question "How could anyone vote for Trump last night" highlights the inability or many voters to imagine other people who have different policy priorities than they do.
However, since I am writing a book on the need to change the conversation about abortion, she listened to me when she gave her answer, looking to camera, speaking to people of faith. She said that no one has to abandon their beliefs to agree that the government should not be involved in medical treatment decisions. Then she cited EXAMPLES. She also looked at Trump, reminded him he was responsible for "Trump Abortion Ban" laws in many states requiring a woman to fly 500 miles to save her own life.
My first analysis was for Hillary Clinton in 2016 debates. They have been warming up on changing their answers for years, and this was the best ex*****on.
All of the people who said "how do we talk about this without saying 'pro choice?'" I can say "here's a master class" and post the video. She did not use one buzzword.
However, the job is not done. My father said "well but what do you do about the pro-choice position?" And then he interrupted my answer and told me to shut up, so he did not listen to me explain that. That is the question that liberals need to hear in my book, and why it matters.

Two things can be true at the same time:
Kamala Harris won last night's debate - I doubt anyone questions this.

There are people who will still not vote for her. There are people who will still vote for GOP economic policy.
Before the debate commentary about what we need to see/ expect was "people still are not sure about her policies, so they will be watching to see what policies she has." She did speak about a lot of her policies. Trump landed one question everyone has been asking about her father who he referred to as a Marxist economist.

I have heard her talk about this "opportunity economy" plan for first time home owners, and child tax credits several times in the past weeks, and I've already sent in my questions about this to Jaime Harrison Democratic Party
"All she's doing is announcing a spending plan. I don't hear anything about her knowledge economically. How is she doing things Biden has done to balance the economy? Not to be like Pelosi and Obama?"

One economic criticism which is legitimate is that when companies are given price fixing, that can be seen as socialist/ Marxist and stifle economic growth in some circumstances, and this is language she is including. Is she aware? How much has her father influenced her understanding?

As a moderate Georgia voter, it is not as complicated today for me to know how to respond to the debate between Harris and Trump as my reaction to the DNC Convention.
The first answer from Kamala Harris on abortion was one of the best ex*****ons to date I have seen from my notes to Jaime Harrison. Overall, her performance answered several questions I've had since the candidate transition after Biden's announcement.
HOWEVER, that said, my questions on her economic policy have not been answered. I have seen many questions "How could anyone vote for the other guy after last night?" Because she did present her economic policies she calls "an opportunity economy," but all I heard was a SPENDING PLAN.
I voted for Biden who collected back taxes from millionaires and reduced government spending on Medicare patients by lowering the drug costs. I would vote for Biden to have billionaires pay the same tax rate as teachers. From Harris I hear tax cuts and SPENDING - which does not balance the budget.
Remember Reagan won with alzheimers because people voted for the GOP administration. My father was very disappointed by Trump's performance, probably because he knows Trump is a losing ticket for the GOP. However, my father will still vote for Trump because in his mind, he is voting for GOP economic policies. In his mind, they are better than voting for Harris who tells him he plans to spend a lot, and he believes has zero intention or desire to balance the budget.
