Artistic Contributions (Gallery): Sol Nørgaard Andersen
Untitled, 2025, by Sol Nørgaard Andersen, is a durational, modular sound installation combining field recordings, conceptual compositions, and ambient music. The piece aims to invite the imagination into a fictional library to be filled with the listener’s own associations. By using and recontextualising recordings from workshops and construction sites, Sol attempts to reflect upon the notion of “tolerable noise” in the name of progress, as well as the de-funding and destruction of public spaces like libraries.
Sol Nørgaard Andersen (2000). Born and raised in Odense, Denmark. Currently studying at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
Their practice engages conceptually with scientific methods as a tool to amplify emotional and interpersonal clashes and negotiations. They work primarily with sound, language, performance, and installation, revolving around gestures of faith in self-proposed systems and flawed logics.
