In this job you run into all sorts of people from all over the world. Over the years I've had people from Romania, France, England, Scotland, Kenia and some more countries in the studio. In 2021 two guys from Nepal entered the studio and I wasn't sure what to expect. They brought a 6 minute long song with them and throughout those six minutes the song diverged from the common song structure into something that felt more a like an epic journey. Every new part of the song feels like a step on a new level and features a great melodic and harmonic evolution. My inner prog-rock-child couldn't have been happier.
In the next few hours we recorded guitars and vocals (which to this day I don't understand a word) and in the following days I worked through drums and bass and added a couple of keyboardtracks. The guys were happy with the result, but nothing happened. I had already forgotten about the song until a couple of days ago they contacted me and revealed to me, that they'd finally shot a video. So it's only a couple of hours now until "Soch" will be released. The trailer looks promising and I urge you to take the time and listen to the song - it's beautiful!
