Spiegelburg International

The history of Spiegelburg International is based on the activities of the publishing company Coppenrath, a traditional house which was taken over in 1977 by the young designer and publisher Wolfgang Hölker. He extended the company into one of the most well known children’s books publishing company in Germany. In 1992 Coppenrath started the non-book program called "Die Spiegelburg". "Spiegelburg C

ollection" was created with the aim of combining books with other products in a joyful and creative way. Out of Coppenraths' book characters and themes they produce chocolates, porcelain, puzzles, bags, suitcases, etc. Now the company manages several characters, for example: Capt'n Sharky, a little pirate with a big heart; Pincess Lillifee, the Friendly Seven and Rebella, the latest young adult character. In 2004 Wolfgang Hölker the publisher of Coppenrath and Walter de Corte started with a new company "Spiegelburg International" to make the world of Spiegelburg known outside of the "home" markets: Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Spiegelburg International is now present in more than 30 different countries on the 5 continents.
