A huge thank you to our incredibly committed staff! ❤️

Recently, we came together to celebrate the dedication and achievements of our long-term team members. At FORUM Zeitschriften und Spezialmedien GmbH, two colleagues reached their impressive 10-year anniversary! Meanwhile, at Forum Verlag Herkert GmbH , the celebrations were even bigger: eight colleagues marked their 10th anniversary, and an incredible eight more were honored for an outstanding 20 years with the company. 🌟

The heartfelt ceremony was led by our founder Ronald Herkert who looked back on the past 20 years and expressed his thankfulness for all the achievements since. He was accompanied by the General Managers of both our subsidiaries, who also warmly acknowledged the hard work, passion, and loyalty these colleagues brought to FORUM over all these years.

Moments like these are reminders that success is a team effort – built on trust, innovation, and mutual respect. Thank you to all our jubilarians for shaping FORUM’s journey and inspiring everyone around you. Here’s to many more shared successes! 🎉

Cooperation between local schools and FORUM is something we truly value. Every year, we’re excited to offer students hands-on support as they take the first steps toward their professional future. 🌱

From in-depth application trainings in local schools to presenting our group at career fairs, we offer various opportunities to get in touch with our colleagues from HR and young apprentices, who offer valuable insights into career paths. 💡

The partnerships we have with several schools in our region offer benefits for both sides: Students get practical tips for their first career steps. We get to know talented young people early on. 🫶

Many thanks to our colleagues Daniela and Mara, who have worked so tirelessly to successfully organise the many events over the past few weeks. And a big shout-out to the apprentices who supported them in this endeavor. 👏

FORUM remains committed to empowering the next generation – and new opportunities are just around the corner. Especially noteworthy: For Girls' and Boys' Day, we will open our doors on April 23, 2026! 🚀

How can we shape the future with the use of AI? 🤖

On November 21, 2025, FORUM took part in an event from the Wittelsbacher Land e. V. on AI and its influence on both the economy and the education sector (“Mensch & KI”). Our managing director Katrin Krauß-Herkert joined a panel discussion on the influence of AI on businesses.

At the FORUM booth, we presented our new offering FORUM Digital Solutions – consulting and services for setting up an inhouse AI. It was an inspiring day with exciting presentations, networking, and live demos! 😊

Many attendees were still relatively new to AI, and its capabilities can often seem almost magical at first – a sentiment echoed brilliantly in one of the keynote addresses. At FORUM, we are committed to demystifying AI and making its potential accessible to everyone. 💡

Speakers also addressed the risks of AI especially for young people. FORUM is dedicated to supporting responsible innovation in this space.

As with every major technological advancement many professions are will undergo significant change in the near future. The journey ahead promises to be both dynamic and exciting, and FORUM is here to guide organizations through these transformations. 🚀

Der Wittelsbacher Land Verein lädt am 21. November zur Veranstaltung „Wirtschaft und Bildung im Zeitalter von KI“ ein. Ziel ist es, aktuelle Anwendungen und zukünftige Möglichkeiten Künstlicher Intelligenz in Wirtschaft und Bildung aufzuzeigen. Dafür konnten namhafte Expertinnen und Experten gewonnen werden:

Wolfgang Bosbach, langjähriger Bundestagsabgeordneter und Politik-Analyst, bringt den überregionalen Blick auf gesellschaftliche Entwicklung ein. Als Mitglied des Wirtschaftsausschusses setzte er sich für den Mittelstand ein und erklärte wirtschaftspolitische Zusammenhänge verständlich.

Silke Müller, Schulleiterin, Digitalexpertin und erste Niedersächsische Digitalbotschafterin, steht für moderne Bildungskonzepte. 2023 veröffentlichte sie den Bestseller „Wir verlieren unsere Kinder“ über die Auswirkungen sozialer Netzwerke.

Sarna Röser, Familienunternehmerin, Aufsichtsrätin und ehem. Bundesvorsitzende der Jungen Unternehmer, gilt laut Capital als eines der „Top 40 unter 40“-Talente der deutschen Wirtschaft.

Kilian Hein, KI-Entrepreneur, zeigt, wie Künstliche Intelligenz Geschäftsmodelle und Arbeitswelten verändert.

Neben Vorträgen erwartet die Gäste eine Podiumsdiskussion und eine Ausstellung zu KI und Robotik. Die Veranstaltung bringt regionale Entscheidungsträger, Unternehmen, Bildungsakteure und Interessierte zusammen – um Perspektiven zu entwickeln und Synergien zu schaffen.

Die rasanten Entwicklungen rund um Künstliche Intelligenz verändern unsere Gesellschaft tiefgreifend. Umso wichtiger ist es, regionale Entscheidungsträger, Unternehmen, Bildungsakteure und Interessierte zusammenzubringen, um gemeinsam Perspektiven zu entwickeln und Synergien zu schaffen. Genau das ist das Ziel der hochkarätigen Veranstaltung in der Wittelsbacher Realschule in Aichach. Einlass ist um 15 Uhr, Beginn der Veranstaltung ist um 16 Uhr.

Moving for a cause: Supporting Alzheimer’s research together. 🫶

We were proud to find participants among our employees for the CIM med Charity Event – a meaningful initiative that turns movement into impact. For every kilometer walked, run, or cycled, CIM med donated €5 to the Alzheimer Forschung Initiative e.V., supporting vital research to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

As part of its commitment to social responsibility, FORUM MEDIA GROUP supported the initiative by covering the registration fees for its employees and donating an extra €150 – helping strengthen collective engagement in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Our colleagues came together with energy – and mastered almost 100 km together. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped move this cause forward. Because every step counts. 💪

Nothing drives progress like open dialogue and fresh perspectives!

Recently, FORUM had the pleasure of welcoming Peter Tomaschko, Member of the Bavarian Parliament, to our headquarters in Merching to meet with our CFO Katrin Krauß-Herkert. Together, they explored key topics for the future of the Aichach-Friedberg region: from workforce challenges and childcare to education and stronger business networks.

At FORUM, we believe that a constant exchange between businesses and politics is the foundation for a strong local economy. Thank you, Mr. Tomaschko, for your visit and for your dedication to our region!

Fire safety training at its best! 🧯🚒

Recently, around 25 of FORUM’s dedicated fire protection assistants took part in an exciting and highly practical training session at the Feuerwehrerlebniswelt in Augsburg. Guided by Frank Habermaier, former chief of the Augsburg fire department, participants dived into the world of fire prevention and emergency response. 🔥

After exploring the most common fire causes and the importance of prevention – like not using candles in the office and keeping escape routes clear – the training moved from theory to action. In a specially equipped room, everyone was able to practice using different types of fire extinguishers. What a hands-on experience! The weight of these extinguishers surprised many – a great reminder of the value of practice before a real emergency strikes.

The key take-away? Learning that simply closing doors during a fire can be a game-changer. It can mean the difference between minor damage and major loss. With just about two minutes to tackle an initial fire, good training really is priceless.🚪

On 20 September 2025, IU International University celebrated the graduation of its students at the Augsburg campus. FORUM would like to extend special congratulations to its dual students Sarah (Marketing Management) and Daniela (Media Design) – CONGRATULATIONS! 👏👏👏

Supporting young people on their career path is an investment not only in your own organization, but also in society. This responsibility begins with the provision of training places, continues with individual support and encouragement, and is reflected in the active involvement of young talent in real projects.

Welcome to the FORUM family! 🌟

Starting a new apprenticeship can be a big leap, so we set out to make our newcomers feel truly at home from day one. This year, our onboarding was anything but ordinary: new and current apprentices were given the task to plan, shop for, and cook a three-course lunch –teamwork seasoned with a dash of “Dolce Vita”. 🥗

CFO/COO Katrin Krauß-Herkert personally welcomed our four new apprentices, sharing unique insights and encouragement. The day kicked off with a creative icebreaker using nature and animal photos, sparking laughter and genuine conversations. By the end of the day, everyone had blended into a close-knit team – full of fresh motivation and a sense of belonging.

This is what modern apprenticeship looks like at FORUM: authentic, innovative, and always focused on growing together!

What an inspiring week at “MiniStadt Merching”! 🏘️

From August 4th to 8th, young people explored new careers and discovered democracy in action in our home community of Merching. In and around the school, the “MiniStadt” – a model version of a town – invited kids from ages 8 to 14 to learn more about different jobs, create products or help in public administration. FORUM was thrilled to support this creative holiday project that was initiated by the Kreisjugendring Aichach-Friedberg.

A true highlight: The young FORUM team of trainees and students led a hands-on station powered by our self-developed AI tool “FORUM ArtPlus”! Kids designed digital artwork – cartoon characters, animals, even cars – which was then printed and transferred onto pencil cases. These unique creations could be purchased in the MiniStadt shop using the “Merching-Taler” which the children earned for their work. 😊

We were happy to be able to support this great project and we are very proud of all our team members who made our contribution a success! 👏
