Time travel into the 18th century for our employees! ✨

The teams from our corporate headquarters – Finance, IT, HR, Central Services, and more – set off together for an unforgettable journey into rich past of the nearby historic town of Friedberg. Led by the lively “maid Brigit”, the group strolled through winding alleys and historic streets, moving from the iconic Marienbrunnen up to the majestic castle and back again.

With every step, the 18th century came alive – full of stories, fascinating facts, and glimpses into the town’s old soul. Laughter echoed off old stone walls, curious questions sparked, and everyone found new appreciation for the beautiful town.

After the extensive tour, we continued in a relaxed atmosphere: we had some drinks at a beer garden, and plenty of time to chat. What better way to build bridges across departments and strengthen the FORUM spirit than with good company, a historic journey, and great food?

School meets business during an inspiring day! 🤝

Recently, FORUM welcomed 43 school students from Realschule Mering and three teachers for a hands-on career workshop in the neighboring community Merching. Our dedicated colleagues Daniela and Mara guided the group through essential topics like application documents, job interviews, and assessment centers. The students jumped in with curiosity and enthusiasm, asking questions, sharing ideas, and exploring what working life can look like. The interactive exercises opened doors to new experiences and insights – and perhaps even sparked dreams of future careers in our media group.

The visit was part of a long-term partnership between the school and FORUM. Earlier this year, another group of students has already been to our company and our colleagues also took part in a job fair at the school. A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this a valuable and unforgettable experience! Looking forward to more collaboration and supporting the next generation on their journey to success. 🌟

What does true workplace flexibility look like? FORUM showcased the answer on national television! 📺

FORUM was featured on the “ZDF heute journal” – a renowned news program – as a leading example in innovative work arrangements. The discussion focused on ideas from the new German government about switching from daily to weekly limits on working hours, aiming to create more flexibility while boosting productivity across the country.

FORUM is a shining example: Innovative working time models, flexible schedules, and home office options are part of daily life. CFO Katrin Krauß-Herkert, mother of three, lives this approach – juggling career and family thanks to adaptable hours. She ensures this flexibility empowers every team member to find balance, too. The impact? People can work full-time, thriving professionally without sacrificing family time.

What an inspiring journey into the world of coding! 💻

With the help of a donation from FORUM, KreativWerkstatt Ried e.V. is offering “Coding Tuesday” – a six-session adventure where kids aged 10 years and older dive into programming with MicroBits and the Scratch platform. 🚀

Twelve enthusiastic children and teens have gathered each session since April 29 with laptops in hand at KreativWerkstatt Ried to explore technology, creativity, and teamwork. And thanks to FORUM’s money, plenty of pizza fuels their innovative spirit! 🍕

The initiative runs until early July, with plans for more courses so even more kids can get started with coding and experimenting. It is great to see new sparks of creativity and tech skills lighting up in our neighborhood! Thanks to all the volunteers from KreativWerkstatt Ried for their efforts and dedication! 👏

Watch our Czech colleagues gearing up for the hybrid Augsburg Company Run in a truly epic way! 😉

Our specially designed FORUM-Shirts with the motto "We make people successful… by running the extra mile" have sparked excitement, reaching participants from Poland to the USA, Hong Kong, and Australia. And guess what? Despite the shipping challenges, they’ve all arrived in time! 👏

What a fantastic display of creativity and talent! 👏

Yesterday, FORUM hosted the 2nd Bookworm Challenge, following the overwhelming success of last year’s event. A total of 22 young talents from six local elementary schools participated in this exciting reading and writing contest. These remarkable students, ranging from grades 2 to 4, bravely read an unfamiliar text and shared their own stories on friendship!

Congratulations to the top three winners from each grade level! 🏆 But the real victory was the incredible display of courage from all participants as they read before an audience and showcased their wonderful, imaginative stories. The enthusiasm and talent were truly heartwarming. 🫶

Let’s give a big shout-out to these young readers and storytellers, captured beautifully in our photo with their certificates and prizes. Hats off to all who made this event a success! ✨

Setting sail for success! ⛵🌊

Seven managers from our headquarters embarked on an unforgettable leadership training aboard our sailing ship Eye of the Wind. Thanks to the creativity and flexibility of trainer Stefanie Voss, the workshop was productive and offered an exceptional experience. ✨

During their time at sea, the group focused on enhancing their communication skills, making sure clear conversations become everyone’s anchor moving forward. ⚓

They also set sail on discussions about FORUM’s goals for the coming year, fostering company-wide collaboration and reflection. 🎯

The training contributed greatly to team building through open communication and shared experiences. Together, the group charted a course for growth and success, while enjoying this unique adventure. 🧭

Our team in Merching, along with colleagues around the world, is excited to present our new shirts featuring the phrase, “We make people successful – by running the extra mile.” This slogan, a variation of our mission statement, emphasizes that we do everything we can to make people successful.

The mystery surrounding the golden heads is revealed! 🎉

During the Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day, 70 talented school students visiting FORUM transformed the heads with electronic waste and recycled materials. Each creation now symbolizes the diverse apprenticeship professions and study programs available at FORUM. 🌟

By the way, the golden heads were once practice heads in a hairdressing salon that were saved from the garbage can by our colleague Daniela Krauss. They have now been put to a creative second use and currently decorate our central event room, the Glasforum in Merching. ♻️

The Girls’ Day and Boys’ Day is a Germany-wide day of action that is intended to give young people an insight into professions in which women or men are underrepresented. The aim is to encourage young people to apply for jobs that do not conform to common clichés. We are happy to welcome lots of talented young people every year on this day and show them our career opportunities! 💪
