Πολύ πριν τα χειροποίητα, φρέσκα ζυμαρικά γίνουν trend της γαστρονομίας και οι αντίστοιχες μηχανές παραγωγής μπουν στις κουζίνες των
πιο απαιτητικών μακαρονάδων, στον βορρά της Χίου ήξεραν ήδη ότι τα μακαρόνια θέλουν χέρι!

Long before the advent of fresh pasta as a gastronomical trend and the invasion of pasta-making machines into the kitchens of die-hard spaghetti lovers, the north
of Chios stood as a testament to the fact that pasta is a tradition steeped in history and made by hand.

Fingerprints. Like the ones left for decades by the rocket warriors in Vrontados, on the Greek island of Chios. Traces of life and ancestry, deeply rooted in this land, forming the identity of possibly the most fabled Easter custom. Sometimes, those same fingerprints can be gone forever, sacrificed to keep the tradition alive.

The fourth edition of Keos magazine is an attempt to trace this long-lasting rite and turn a magnifying glass towards the fingertips that come together every year to create a unique moment in time: the Resurrection celebration in Chios.

Αποτυπώματα δακτυλικά, αυτά που αφήνουν εδώ και δεκάδες χρόνια οι ρουκετατζήδες στον Βροντάδο της Χίου. Αποτυπώματα ζωής και καταγωγής, ριζωμένα βαθιά σε αυτόν τον τόπο, που όλα μαζί συνθέτουν την ταυτότητα του πιο φημισμένου, ίσως, πασχαλινού εθίμου. Ενίοτε, κάποια από αυτά χάνονται για πάντα, θυσιάζονται για να διατηρηθεί η παράδοση.

Το τέταρτο τεύχος– δεν είναι παρά μια απόπειρα εξιχνίασης ενός μακρόβιου εθίμου και διαλεύκανσης του πώς όλα αυτά τα αποτυπώματα έρχονται να γίνουν ένα, σε μια ιδιαίτερη συνθήκη: την Ανάσταση στη Χιο.
