🙌🏼 Meet the Meyer Sound Family!
Introducing the latest edition of our “People Behind the Product” series, where we celebrate the incredible individuals who make up our diverse Meyer Sound team worldwide. We are thrilled to introduce Charles Mitchell, Manufacturing Specialist - Speaker Assembly.
Charles plays a vital role in our speaker assembly process, ensuring every product is built with precision, reliability, and the quality our users expect. His skill and consistency elevate our manufacturing process, helping us produce loudspeakers that embody Meyer Sound’s commitment to quality.
To get to know Charles better, we asked him a few questions about his work at Meyer Sound and life beyond the office.
Question: What is your favorite Meyer Sound memory?
Answer: While working for Meyer Sound, there are a few projects I really enjoyed working on, like helping The Research and Development team successfully achieve their goal of bringing an important project to fruition. Building the final 10 HD-1 monitor speakers for the Silver Signature Signing Promotion by John and Helen Meyer. The most memorable moment that comes to mind is working with the Manufacturing Management team on the start-up of the ULTRA-X40 series assembly production line, where I led the front line along with eight other guys who were fun to work with and determined to help get the job accomplished. After many labor hours, sometimes intense, along with dedication, the ULTRA-X40 series reached the top seller’s chart.
Q: What was your first job?
A: I started work at the age of thirteen, pumping gas at a car wash gas station in Menlo Park. My first
professional job was as an auto body and fender painter, which later transitioned me into a collection estimator.
Q: What book is on your bedside table?
A: I’m a person who likes to look forward to all the different obstacles we sometimes face in life. We must stay focused and not be distracted by all the noise in the world. My favorite book next to my bedside is the KJV Holy Bible, along with In Touch Ministries mini devotional by Dr. Charles Stanley.
Q: What does a perfect day off look like for you?
A: I really enjoy going to visit with my Dad and having my children and grandchildren over during the Holidays.
Q: What’s something people don’t know about you?
A: I spend most of my time involved with church activities, missions outreach, bible study, and prayer groups. I also enjoy cooking, biking, fishing, and working on my 67 Chevy pickup truck, getting it ready for community car shows and swap meets.
