They don’t call Iloilo City the City of Love for nothing 💛

Last weekend, I had a flight from Iloilo to Manila, and on the way to the airport from SM, I took a Grab. My phone battery was already drained, so I asked the driver if I could use his USB cable. He kindly let me charge….such a small gesture, but already so thoughtful.

When I arrived, I got off in a rush because I only had less than 20 minutes left before check-in closes. I accidentally left my phone in the car.

I didn’t even realized it right away.
I had already gone through check-in and security when I realized my phone was missing. But then, something amazing happened…. I heard my name being called over the PA system.
The driver came back. He went out of his way to return my phone and even had me paged in the departure area just to make sure it got back to me safely.

In a world where it’s easy to lose things and never see them again, moments like this remind me that good people still exist.

This is exactly why Iloilo is called the City of Love: not just for romance, but for the genuine kindness, honesty, and malasakit of its people. 🫶

Forever grateful for the kind driver.
