Martin Groovic Martin Groovic is a DJ and producer for electronic music and likes to pass on what he has learned.

Martin surely can be described as legend of Nuremberg‘s electronic music scene. In 1992, at the age of 16, he discovered his passion for electronic music and began playing vinyl on two borrowed Technics turntables. During that time he completed an internship at a local radio station (Radio N1), where he soon was recognized for his Djing. First bookings as „Martin Martinez“, his former Dj name, at

various events of the radio station like „N1 Sunday Dancehall“ and the weekly radio show „N1 Club Night“ followed, where he not only played vinyl with lots of heart, but also took over the moderation of the radio show. Especially as a resident of the „N1 Rave Signal“ events, which took place at Volksbad, an abandoned Art Nouveau-Style bath, he soon gained a large fan base with his captivating techno and breakbeat sets and weekly played on stage with famous musicians like Sven Väth, Westbam, Carl Cox, Earth Nation, Tanith, Resistance D, Jens Lissat, Oliver Lieb and many more. To spred his wings wider and take his immense passion for Djing to the next level, he changed his name to Martin Groovic in 1995 and soon played gigs in all major techno clubs in Franconia such as Boot, Dolphin Club, Paisley Park, Forum, Lancia Odeon, DUB Club and the Octagon in Eltmann and invitations to clubs in Munich and festivals in Italy followed. In 1996 he and two partners founded the legendary TOS Club, where he organized weekly club nights and after hours and quickly became a well known musician in the Nuremberg techno scene for blowing up the dancefloors with his unique music style. His characteristics as a deliverer of music are within the inexhaustible dimensions of sound, creating imaginary dream worlds within his listeners and taking them on a journey full of depth, magic and desires – always with an unconditional love to music. His repertoire ranges from rhythmic, spherical house and techno sounds filled with lots of emotion to downtempo and acid sounds with the right drive to dance the nights away. In 1998, after two successful years of TOS, the club mysteriously burned down and Martin moved to Munich. In 2000 he founded his family and took a time out for several years. During his break the love to music still accompanied him in private, but now the passion for Djing and the wish to create musical suspense grew strong again. And so he‘s back, more motivated than ever, presenting new monthly mixes on his Soundcloud. In the near future Martin Groovic will surely be seen and heard again in the clubs.
