The concert celebrates the extraordinary legacy of Australian soprano Joan Sutherland, with Scappucci leading the musical performances from the podium.

Scappucci is currently Principal Guest Conductor of the Royal Opera House and was the first Italian woman to conduct at both La Scala and the Royal Opera House.

Baritone Daniel Miroslaw Daniel Mirosław sings Baron Scarpia in Puccini’s Tosca at Opera Hedeland Opera Hedeland, following his recent appearance at Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

The opera will be presented under the open sky in Hedeland Nature Park near Roskilde. Daniel joins Yana Kleyn Yana Kleyn as Floria Tosca and Peter Lodahl PETER LODAHL as Mario Cavaradossi.

Rodula Gaitanou directs the production, with Carlo Goldstein conducting the Opera Hedeland Festival Orchestra and Chorus.
