The independent record label *Electro-Shock-Records* started in Neubrandenburg (Germany) in the spring 2003. The idea for an own label was born after a PopKomm (Music Fair Trade/Cologne) aftershow-party in the Rhein/Main Area @ Germany in the year 2002 by Jens Krause & his producer friend Vernon B. (Producer/Remixer of Artists like Front 242, Talla 2XLC, Blind Vision, Trance Allstars and many more

..and producer of many Music Research-Releases in the 90s.) (member of the band Shock Of Reality), the idea comes from label-manager. The label-owner/manager Jens Krause (2) was formerly known as music-journalist for many european magazines New Life, BodyStyler, Zillo, Orkus, Sonic Seducer and on the international level for Side-Line/Belgium and Release/Sweden. He compiled in the years before he started his own label-project many CD-Compilations for different labels:

- Ausfahrt: Electrocity Vol.11, Electrocity Vol.12
- and more

Electro-Shock-Records first sign in the music-world was the CD-Compilation Stromschlag Volume 1

The first signing was Dead Sexy Inc. and first band release the Breakme (produced by Paul Kendall). After this release more and more artists started approaching the label: Cue To Recall (Norway), Kash (2) (Germany), Blind Vision (Germany), Robert Marlow (United Kingdom)…

In the beginnig of the year 2008 contacted the labelmanager an Synth-Pop-Legend in person, Mr. Robert Marlow with a request of unreleased or new material. This request from Electro-Shock-Records pushed Robert Marlow and his new musical partner Gary Durant to work hard on a new album. The working-title of the album was “Robosexual* and in the final-version was released with the name "Inside/Outside" (E-Shock-CD 007) under the bandname Marlow (2). The first live-show after many years of silence for Robert Marlow and Gary Durant was on the valentins-day 14.02.2009 @ Stockholm organized by the “UltraFoxx”-Event-Crew. The guys playing there in front of a amazing party-crowd, as support-act behind the turntables played the labelmanager Jens Krause (DJ Soulmanager) an x-tra DJ-Set "The Sound of FFM". The first germany live-show ever for Mr.Marlow and his new crew-member Gary Durant was arranged by the "Dark Noir"-Crew on the 26.09.2009 for the Birthday-Bash-Party in a club called “Zebra”, located in the hometown of the label Neubrandenburg. Today Electro-Shock-Records is representing some of the interestings international electro underground-acts and is a special place for Electro / EBM / Synth-Pop and Electro-Clash. One of the biggest success for the label was the nomitee on the SAMA-Award (Swedish Alternative Music Awards) 2006 in the categorie “Best Newcomer Album” with Cue To Recall`s Mainland-Album. Electro-Shock-Records is distributed by DMD/Discomania Records in Germany / Austria / Switzerland. After the crash of DMD/Discomania is now the new distribution-partner of the label since November´2011..the company Echozone / SONY Music! The new partner re-released all CDs from the back-catalouge for the first time as digital downloads (via Amazon, Itunes) and so on...

With today’s news, we’re happy to announce that our vinyl releases are now also available through the renowned retailer HHV. 🎉

We’re kicking things off with the vinyl classic from the Danish band Softwave and their debut album Game On. After that, the vinyl releases from Octolab will follow step by step, all the way to Jäger 90 (offizielle).

We’re not standing still — more is coming! 🚀

Today we unfortunately have to share some sad news with ourselves and with all fans of Deutsche Bank. The vinyl EP "Grand Transmission", which was scheduled for release in the coming days under the internal catalog number E-Shock-VL 026, will be completely removed from the label’s release schedule and withdrawn from the market.

The reason for this difficult decision is that the partner we selected for the production of the vinyl records was, even on the second attempt, unable to provide us with proper test pressings.

A real shame. 😔

The album "Gefährliche Liebschaft" by Stakkato, which will be released in the autumn of 2025 on the Electro-Shock-Records label, also marks the 25th release of the label — and accordingly carries the internal catalog number E-Shock-CD 025!

However, the real secret behind this CD release is the identity of the artist behind the name Stakkato: none other than Thoralf Dietrich, who, with his original old-school EBM band Jäger 90, has been moving dance floors around the globe with his powerful sound.
The album, with its raw and minimalist aesthetic, opens with the track "G ist wieder da" — a song that might feel like a revelation to some DAF disciples. Or is it just a mental game without a clear target... leaving you with the impression that Gabi Delgado is somehow greeting us once again — real and present — from behind the microphone?

The musical tension throughout this concept album — from tracks like "Meine Liebe zu Dir", "Sterben wollen wir noch nicht", "Mit Dir allein", to "Zieh Dich aus" — is driven by the rhythm of the machines and Thoralf's unmistakable voice, which, especially in the final track "Wasser", pulls the listener into his own immersive world. So take the time for this deep, absorbing experience!
