4. Most liked Band of of the Scene?

Beerzone/Control. Always good times when they’re on and off stage. Iain is an absolute legend, he managed to get The Agitators to play Holidays In The Sun festival in 2003 and the rest is history! He became a good mate.

5. How do you see the development in the Scene about young bloods joining the Scene etc.?

I’ve seen a lot of new bands joining the scene this last decade. Bands like Crown Court, The Chisel, The Reapers, Mess and Fatal Blow to new but a few. Not all young bloods but they bring something fresh and top quality releases to the scene which hopefully will bring a younger crowd to the gigs, which we really need.

6. What‘s your Nickname and where does it came from?

My nickname is “Pistenflitzer”. It’s a coffee with liquor in it which I used to drink a lot on winter holidays.

7. Where are you from? in which City do you live currently?

I grew up in Schoten (Belgium) and living in Brecht (B) at the moment. Really quiet area, perfect location for my recording studio but close enough to the city of Antwerp!

8. What‘s your favorite Club?

Back in the day it used to be Lintfabriek in Kontich (B) but that venue sadly closed down many years ago. From my experiences with The Agitators I must say Monkeys Club in Hamburg!

9. What‘s you favorite Festival?

Rebellion festival by far! We had to honor to perform there 11 times, from Holidays in the Sun through Wasted into Rebellion. Always good atmosphere and brilliant line-ups. Made lots of good friends over there.

10. What was your best Concert? When and where was that happening?

C**k SParrer at Holidays in the Sun in Basque Country, year 2000. Drove to the festival with some mates in a rented van which was a whole adventure in itself. Organization wasn’t 5-star but it all contributed to a legendary weekender.

11. What was your first „self owned“ Record? (Vinyl or CD)

First 7” I bought in a store was Love Like Blood from Killing Joke. I was 14 years old at that time.

12. What‘s going wrong in the nowadays and how could it be done in a better way in your opinion?

That whole “influencer” hype is the plague of modern times. The sheep that follow every move they make are even worse. The cure is simple, make up your own mind and do whatever YOU wanna do.
Oooh and techno DJ’s, never touching a button and showing of dance moves while their USB stick does the rest. The cure is simple, support live bands!

13. What do love most in the Subculture?

The friendships, the unity (which is beter these days than it used to be), the rough/aggro edge but not over the top. I’ve always felt a lot of support among bands in the Oi! and (true) punk scene, which isn’t always the case in other genres.

1. Since when are you infected by „the Oi!-Virus“?
Hi I'm Julien, singer and bass player from Rancoeur. Infected since 2000/2001 by the "punk-virus"
and 1 or 2 years later by the Oi! Virus.

2. What‘s your favorite Record?
Difficult to say, but I think "Caméra Sliens - Réalité"

5. How do you see the development in the Scene about young bloods joining the Scene etc.?

In our city, it's very difficult to say because we don't have a lot of young peoples which come to
the show. But in bigger cities or during festivals, we saw full gig places with young peoples and it's
very cool to see, they are very involved and supported the bands during the shows, at the
merchandising also.

6. What‘s your Nickname and where does it came from?

I'm Julien Tendresse and it comes from my professional activity, I created my brand Tendresse
Apparel.

7. Where are you from? in which City do you live currently?

I come from Nancy (East of France) and I live in a little village close to Nancy.

8. What‘s your favorite Club?

We played In Reset Club in Berlin it was very cool, we can name Klub 007 in Praha or Esperanza
Schwäbisch Gmünd too.

9. What‘s you favorite Festival?

I don't know, as musician, we played in Poland at Ultra Chaos Piknik Festival, in a forrest close to
the Ukranian border.
Fatela Sonica festival in Portugal was really really cool too !

10. What was your best Concert? When and where was that happening?

I don't know if it's our best concert, but the most moving was at UHSA Nancy, a kind of
psychiatric hospital in prison. There were maybe 20 peoples, but it was really intense. Our lyrics
took on their full meaning.

11. What was your first „self owned“ Record? (Vinyl or CD)

In 2011, with Tristan (Guitar of Rancoeur) and Tom (Drummer of Rancoeur) we recorded our first
CD-R Demo for our first band called "Streets of Rage" like the video game.

12. What‘s going wrong in the nowadays and how could it be done in a better way in your
opinion?

Ecology, wars, inequality... it would be simpler to ask what's going on!
Everything needs to be done, everything needs to be changed.

But if you're talking about the scene, I think we need to give more space to culture in general,
more clubs to play in, more self-managed spaces, more art on the walls...

13. What do love most in the Subculture?

When you like bands and you can play with them, meet them and have a beer with them.

1. Seit wann bist Du mit Oi! Virus infiziert?

Das hat bei mir so Mitte der 90er Jahre als Assi-Punker angefangen. Die Glatze kam bei mir erst Ende der 90er. Zu dem Zeitpunkt hatte ich aber noch immer bei Sekretstau gespielt.

2. Welches ist Dein Lieblingsalbum?

Mein Lieblingsalbum aus dem Punkbereich ist Schleim Keim - Mach Dich doch selbst kaputt
Aus dem Oi!Bereich würde ich sagen Emergency - 1234

3. Nenne deine Top 5 Bands?

4. Lieblingsband außerhalb der Subkultur?

Motörhead und Guns N' Roses kann ich wirklich immer hören. Beim Arbeiten höre ich auch mal ganz gerne komplett andere Sachen. Dann läuft auch mal Disarstar, Danger Dan oder auch mal Bob Dylan oder Hannes Wader

5. Wie siehst Du die Entwicklung der Szene was zum Beispiel den Szenenachwuchs angeht?

Früher ist man mehr aufgefallen, da es in beinahe jeder Fussgängerzone einen Treffpunkt von Punks und Skins gab und man somit das Stadtbild durch die Musik aus dem Kassettenrekorder, den bunten Haaren, dem Alkoholkonsum, den Stiefeln und dem „asozialen“ Verhalten geprägt hat. Das hat natürlich auch das Interesse von jungen Leuten geweckt, denn die Eltern fanden das furchtbar! Das war also eine klasse Sache was Rebellion gegen das Elternhaus anging….
Wie gesagt: das WAR eine klasse Sache, aber heute prägen diese Subkulturen kaum noch ein Stadtbild… Das hat zur Folge, dass es zwar Nachwuchs gibt, dieser aber verhältnismäßig nicht die Vergreisung der Subkultur ausgleichen kann.

6. Wie lautet Dein Spitzname und woher kommt er?

Mein Spitzname ist Moik. Viele wissen ja, dass ich Tätowierer bin und mein eigenes kleines Studio habe (Last Teardrop Tattoo in Rodgau).
Als ich mit dem Tätowieren angefangen habe, gab es in dem damaligen Studio einen weiteren Maik, was oftmals zu Verwechslungen geführt hat. Der Studiobesitzer meinte dann zu mir: „Du bist ein Skinhead, also heisst du ab jetzt Moik und dann hat sich das mit den Verwechslungen erledigt.“

7. Woher kommst du? In welcher Stadt wohnst du aktuell?

Ich komme aus Leun, einem kleinen Kaff bei Wetzlar und wohne jetzt im Kreis Offenbach.

8. Welcher ist Dein Lieblingsclub?

Hab ich keinen.

9. Welches ist dein Lieblingsfestival?

Ich bin überhaupt nicht mehr für Festivals zu begeistern. Lieber kleinere Konzerte.

10. Welches war Dein bestes Konzert? Wann und wo war das?

Lokalmatadore 2019 in Essen!!! Ob es jetzt das beste Konzert war kann ich nicht wirklich sagen, aber wir waren da eine gute Truppe und hatten den Spaß unseres Lebens.

11. Welche war Dein erstes selbst gekauftes Album?(Vinyl oder CD)

Michael Jackson - Bad (Vinyl)

12. Was läuft Deiner Meinung nach nicht so gut in der Szene und wie könnte man es besser machen?

Es entwickelt sich immer alles weiter und so soll es auch sein. Manche Sachen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, aber das heisst nicht, dass diese falsch wären, sondern lediglich, dass ich sie nicht verstehe.

13. Was liebst du am meisten an der Subkultur?

Die Tatsache, dass man selber etwas auf die Beine stellen kann. Sei es ein Konzert, eine Band oder sonstiges.

Ich denke es war so um 1983

Das ist schwer, aber ich denke Beggars can be chooser von den Newtown Neurotics

Newtown Neurotics, (alte) 4Skins, Oppressed, Blitz, Rude Pride

5. Wie siehst Du die Entwicklung der Szene was zum Beispiel den Szenenachwuchs angeht?

Die Szene ist schon krass alt. Nachwuchs fehlt überall denke ich. Allerdings haben wir in Halle an der Saale gespielt, da waren viele junge Leute. Es tauchen hier und da neue Leute auf....Es wird weiter gehen.

seit dem ich 13 bin nennt man mich Che.
Kommt von den anti Startbahn West Kämpfen in den 80'

Es gibt noch immer zu viel rumgemacker, zuviel Grauzone, Sexismus...immer dagegen gerade machen, Leute aufmerksam machen wenn Grenzen überschritten werden. Dabei aber nicht auf Szene Polizei machen.

13. Was liebst du am meisten der Subkultur?

Keine Ahnung, so lange her, kann nichts anderes 🤣
Nein, das es überall auf der Welt Leute gibt die so ticken wie ich und man meint zusammenhält, die Musik ist noch immer mit das wichtigste für mich. Ich finde man kann es schwer erklären was in einem brennt für die Subkultur...

Seit ca. 2002, als ich in Wanne Eickel die Brigade S. zum ersten Mal gesehen hab.

2. Welches ist Dein Lieblingsalbum?

Brigade S. (Ey, macht mal wieder was!)
Loikaemie, Oxo 86, Lions Law und die Emscherkurve77 (ist das noch Oi!? Sc***ss egal, geile Band!!!)

5. Wie siehst Du die Entwicklung der Szene was zum Beispiel den Szenenachwuchs angeht?

Gelassen, die Oi‘S waren immer schon eine Minderheit und das möchten „Wir“ ja auch sein. In einer immer schneller werdenden Welt, Trends kommen und gehen, Wegwerf-Gesellschaft… ist es vielleicht nicht eine Altersfrage, sondern eher eine Einstellungsfrage die erst ab einer gewissen Lebenserfahrung interessant wird.

6. Wie lautet Dein Spitzname und woher kommt er?

Ich habe keinen Spitznamen.

7. Woher kommst du? In welcher Stadt wohnst du aktuell?

Bochum, ich komm aus dir!

8. Welcher ist Dein Lieblingsclub?

Don‘t Panic in Essen

9. Welches ist dein Lieblingsfestival?

Force Attack vor 2008. Da ging es noch ums Überleben. 15.000 Punker, 3 Dixis, 1 Wasserschlauch, Dauerregen danach 40 Grad und alles voller Kuhfladen. Großartig!!!

10. Welches war Dein bestes Konzert? Wann und wo war das?

Bor ey… wer weiß denn sowas? Ich glaube, das war tatsächlich mit Harte Worte.
Wir haben 2011 den Support für Discipline in Oberhausen gemacht. Wir waren bis Dato relativ unbekannt und dort sangen zum ersten Mal 500 Leute meine Texte. Das war total verrückt und ein unfassbares gutes Feeling.

11. Welche war Dein erstes selbst gekauftes Album?(Vinyl oder CD)

Im Oi Punk Bereich? Ähhh puh… Das müsste 1993 Kassierer (Der heilige Geist greift an) gewesen sein. Später folgte dann Aso-Pack von Brigade S. Außerhalb der Szene war es 1991 Salt-N-Pepa mit Let‘s talk about Sex… aber das bleibt ja unter uns 😜

12. Was läuft Deiner Meinung nach nicht so gut in der Szene und wie könnte man es besser machen?

Die Ticketpreise sind zu hoch. Die Leute haben keine Kohle mehr. Dadurch ist die Erwartungshaltung auch sehr kommerziell. Früher sind wir etliche Kilometer gelaufen um auf ein kleines Oi Konzert zu gehen. Heute gehen kleine Bands meist leer aus, bzw zahlen drauf. Der DIY Gedanke geht verloren. Hier gibt es keine Rockstars, hier sind wir alle gleich und zwar von unten. Etwas mehr „Heart full of Pride „und weniger „Pocket full of Money“ wäre gut. Dann kommt auch der Nachwuchs 😉

13. Was liebst du am meisten der Subkultur?

die Gemeinschaft und das jeder jeden kennt. Konzerte und Festivals sind wie Familienfeiern… nur in Gut!

1. Seit wann bist Du mit Oi! Virus infiziert?

Mit dem Oi Virus ging es, glaube ich, erst so 2006 los.

2. Welches ist Dein Lieblingsalbum?

Bei mir wechseln die Lieblingsalben. Diese Woche höre ich verstärkt Bishops Green - Black Skies

3. Nenne deine Top 5 Bands?

Bishops Green

4. Lieblingsband außerhalb der Subkultur?

Da hab ich nicht wirklich eine bestimmte Lieblingsband. Ich höre sonst gerne Rock Musik. Eher die älteren Bands.

5. Wie siehst Du die Entwicklung der Szene was zum Beispiel den Szenenachwuchs angeht?

Leider gibt es zu wenig Nachwuchs, ich hoffe, dass es sich bald wieder ändert.

6. Wie lautet Dein Spitzname und woher kommt er?

Ich hatte nie einen Spitznamen, Nils ist kurz genug.

7. Woher kommst du? In welcher Stadt wohnst du aktuell?

Ich bin in Essen geboren und lebe seit 43 Jahren auch in Essen.

8. Welcher ist Dein Lieblingsclub?

Schwierig einen einzelnen zu nennen, es gibt so viele gute. Die Besten sind die, bei denen man den Besitzern und den Veranstaltern anmerkt, wieviel Herzblut sie da rein stecken damit die Szene nicht ausstirbt.

9. Welches ist dein Lieblingsfestival?

Früher war es das Endless summer und das Back to future. Leider gibt es eins davon gar nicht mehr und das andere hat sich für mich in eine negative Richtung entwickelt. Aktuell gefällt mir das Ain't like you Festival am besten. Die Musikauswahl ist vielfältig und die Crew ist super drauf.

10. Welches war Dein bestes Konzert? Wann und wo war das?

Eins was ich selbst mit meiner damaligen Band SS-Kaliert gespielt habe. Wir haben damals in Moskau gespielt. Die Luft brannte und für uns war es etwas besonderes, in Russland spielen zu dürfen.

11. Welche war Dein erstes selbst gekauftes Album?(Vinyl oder CD)

Das erste Album was in die Punk Richtung ging, war damals eine Platte von den Toten Hosen.

12. Was läuft Deiner Meinung nach nicht so gut in der Szene und wie könnte man es besser machen?

Meiner Meinung nach, gibt es mittlerweile eine unnötige Spalterei innerhalb der Szene. Natürlich ist es wichtig schwächere Personen zu schützen, aber teilweise hat man das Gefühl, dass einzelne Personen versuchen durch falsche Anschuldigungen selbst Bekanntheit zu erlangen.

13. Was liebst du am meisten der Subkultur?

Das fast jeder willkommen ist. Es ist wie eine große Familie, egal in welchem Land man ist, man trifft immer auf Freunde oder Gleichgesinnte.

Iron Maiden are the best band in the world, all categories and scenes.

5. How do you see the development in the Scene about young bloods joining the Scene etc.?

Here in Sweden there are a lot of kids coming into the punk/hc and metal scene. It was pretty quiet for some years but now it’s happening again. I’m very happy to see younger people starting bands and fanzines again. They have all my respect and support.

6. What‘s your Nickname and where does it came from?

Nico the machine. I don’t remember exactly how it started. Maybe it was our singer Cecilia who just started introducing me on stage as Nico the machine, as I’m the drummer and ”motor” in the back.

7. Where are you from? in which City do you live currently?

I’m born and raised in Boden in the very north of Sweden. But I live in Stockholm since 25 years.

8. What‘s your favorite Club?

Oh, I don’t know. I almost never go out anymore.

9. What‘s you favorite Festival?

There are so many good ones. It’s hard to pick only one. We play many festivals around the world every year. Personally I like the bigger metal festivals as the best bands are playing there. Haha!

10. What was your best Concert? When and where was that happening?

I’ve seen so many shows over the years. It’s hard to tell which one was the best, but one very important and emotional one was Iron Maiden at Waldbühne in Berlin in July 2022. I had the tickets since before the pandemic, and everything was postponed all the time. When it finally happened and they came out on stage after years of waiting, I started crying of happiness. For me it was the real sign of that the s**t pandemic was finally over.

11. What was your first „self owned“ Record? (Vinyl or CD)

My first LP I bought with my own money as a kid was one with either Kiss, W.A.S.P., or Mötley Crüe. Don’t remember exactly. When CD’s came on the market I remember my first one was with the German death metal band Morgoth - The Eternal Fall.

12. What‘s going wrong in the nowadays and how could it be done in a better way in your opinion?

The world is a very fu**ed up place right now. To me it’s easy. If we could all agree on getting rid of the neo-liberal/capitalist imperialist world order, at least 95% of all our problems would disappear. Because capitalism/greed is the root of all those problems.

13. What do love most in the Subculture?

The togetherness it brings is beautiful.

With syndrome 81, we played with Long Knife and Spectres in an indoor skate-park in Vancouver in the crack heads street, what a night!

I remember it as if it were yesterday, The Police “greatest hits” on CD

12. What‘s going wrong in the nowadays and how could it be done in a better way in your opinion?

People are becoming more and more selfish and closed-minded. I would like a world with a more equitable sharing of wealth. We have an absurd society that accepts that some people are billionaires while others live like they did in the Middle Ages.

To be honest...the music!

Probably since 1992. Well, I begun to listen punk and I discovered oi ! Music shorty after.

2. What‘s your favorite Record?

Hard top answer. If I don’t think too much, I Can Say Mommy’s little monster of Social Distorsion. Sorry, That’s not oi ! Music.

Hard to say. I liked Gel before they split up. Restraining order is good too. Over the Hill from Montréal, Canada, releases a very good album lately, and it's oi !

5. How do you see the development in the Scene about young bloods joining the Scene etc.?

Times have changed for the better. Less violence, more bands. Less fascists scums. But a lot of new bands sound like olders, it’s hard to find original stuff in oi ! Music

6. What‘s your Nickname and where does it came from?

Mateo Brigada, probably because I was the singer of Brigada Flores Magon during a lot of time.

7. Where are you from? in which City do you live currently?

I come from Paris, France and I live in Toulouse France.

La Maroquinerie in Paris.

9. What‘s you favorite Festival?

I don’t go to festival, too expensive, and too many people. But, this year the line up of the Rennes (Fr) Superbowl of Hardcore is really exciting.

10. What was your best Concert? When and where was that happening?

Unfortunably, the last gig of Brigada Flores Magon in Paris last year. The concert Brigada did in Mexico city, two years ago, was really a good moment too. And of course the first gig of ShellShock my new band a year ago is one of my best pleasure on stage.

Probably Viva Bertaga, a live of the last Bérurier Noir last gig.

12. What‘s going wrong in the nowadays and how could it be done in a better way in your opinion?

Well, everything. Probably due to capitalism. And human cupidity. I don’t have any solution I Can explain in few lines. And I never thought I detain the truth.

13. What do love most in the Subculture?

Indépendance, liberty, creativity. Do it yourself.
