announced the English release of the My Little Pony trading card game and collectible cards! Every pony fan needs these adorable cards! I got my hooves on a promo pack at the Nuremberg Toy Fair and I cant wait for them to arrive in America and Europe! Bring on the cuteness!

Got to see the Lego Pokemon sets in person. I can honestly say. I'm still not a fan. If you like them more power to you but I feel like Lego missed the mark with these.

We have our champion and to absolutely nobody's surprise Draven has won the first Spiritforged Riftbound regional. However it was not zesty/miracle Draven.

China has officially announced how they will be giving out the metal best-of cards going forward in their Riftbound tournaments:

"Starting from Season Two, in every official major event—including Regional Opens, National Opens, and the National Championship—the Summoner who achieves the best result using a specific Legendary deck will be awarded that Legend’s exclusive “Legend Master Award.”

This award applies to all Legends from both the Origins set and the Spiritforged set."

¥199 Chinese New Year box announced. No actual release date as of yet but it must be soon. Spring Festival is on Feb 15th this year and it will need to ship out before the country closes down for the holidays.

Well. Strike one was how UVS ran the registration for the Riftbound Bologna Regional. Strike two is how they're running the wait-list. What kind of nonsense is this?!?!?! They signed up super late and got a ticket ?? Yet I've been on the wait-list since day one hour one?!? What kind of random name pulling are they doing to determine who gets a ticket. Why is not first in first out?!?!!?

I really enjoy Riftbound and have had a ton of fun learning and playing the game, but to say the registration for Bologna regional left a bad taste in my mouth would honestly be a understatement. I have no seen anything this bad in 20 years of playing card game and attending large scale tournaments. A complete and total misstep by Riot, they should not trust UVS to run the game any longer. A relative unknown company who ran one crappy unknown card game. And you are trusting them with your billion dollar IP. I don't get it. I really and truly don't. I was looking forward to competing in the first EU Regional, but after the site crashed while confirming my payment, that is no longer an option. Will I still attend? Probably, after 40 minutes I was able to finally secure a spectators badge.

The pricing on this event was insane. The scalping even worse. If the rumors of a UVS employee buying 100 premium spots to try and re-sell are true, then I must reaffirm my position and say take the game way from UVS. 79 Euro for a standard ticket that gets you basically nothing. 610 Euro for a premium that gets you 2 booster boxes, an playmat, and a chance to buy 2 more booster boxes? Non-sense. Tickets for a TCG tournament should NEVER be transferable.

This is strike 1. I do enjoy the game, but I am a competitive person. Rent more venue space, let the players play! You can afford it. Don't use "staff shortage" as an excuse because at this moment there is 0 staff outside of the secret TO that nobody knows about. There's been no judge call, no staff call, nothing. DO BETTER! LET THE PLAYERS PLAY!

Anybody keeping up with Riftbound and watched the Shanghai Open stream. If you noticed that the top 64 player 老徐 was not properly shuffling and at one point even moved a card from bottom of deck to the top. Don't worry, after video review Riftbound also noticed and have already handled the situation. He has been banned for one year for cheating and retroactively stripped of prizing. It's unfortunate that it was not caught in the moment, but at least they are actively trying to stop these things from happening in the future. I do believe a 1 year ban is WAY to soft though.

Announcement on the Situation and Handling Regarding the Suspected Cheating Incident During the National Open Tournament Playoffs of Season 1 of Riftbound: League of Legends Card Game

I. Background

This announcement concerns the suspected cheating incident that occurred during the playoffs of the National Open Tournament of Season 1 of Riftbound: League of Legends Card Game (hereinafter referred to as “Riftbound”).

II. Incident Review

Upon verification by the tournament referees, during the pre-game preparation phase of the second match in the 64-to-32 live broadcast table, while the referee was delivering pre-game instructions, the player repeatedly and intentionally peeked at their opponent's deck during the shuffling and cutting process.

III. Penalty Explanation

The immediate penalty enforcement during this match was correct. However, the live broadcast footage may serve as evidence for post-match appeals and verification. This action constitutes deliberate cheating with subjective intent.

IV. Decision

As the evidence clearly shows the player maliciously shuffled to gain an unfair advantage, this behavior is considered cheating. The judging panel has therefore invalidated the match results.

V. Additional Notes

To ensure fairness and protect the interests of all participants, the panel has conducted full communication with affected opponents (including those who lost in the 64-to-32 and 32-to-16 rounds). The final decisions have been confirmed and will not affect the progress of the tournament.

VI. Penalties

The match results of “赏****徐” (Mini-Program ID: tkvw3u7enf) in this Season 1 National Open Tournament are nullified.

The player’s unconditional qualification for the first large-scale offline event in the Riftbound community is revoked. This event is planned for November 2026.

The player will not receive any tournament-related rewards or ranking points.

The player is banned from future official qualifiers.

Riftbound reserves the right to take further action and will continue to monitor the situation.

We ask all competitors to continue upholding the spirit of fair and competitive play. We will maintain our zero-tolerance stance toward cheating. Thank you for your understanding and support. We will continue to provide a fair and professional competitive environment for all players.
