Meet violinist Alexandra Conunova who has been a part of the Pirastro Artist family for some time. Alexandra is a leading soloist and performs alongside with important orchestras such as Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra de la Svizzera Italiana, NDR Hannover, Radio Saarbrück, Mariinski Orchestra, Camerata Bern, Orchestre du Teatro Regio de Turin and many more.

She was appointed "Maitre ès Arts" by the President of her native country the Republic of Moldavia, where she founded the charity "ArtaVie", aiming to help disadvantaged families and children from her former school.

Attention cellists and double bass players: Here are the best Pirastro rosins for your instrument!

Cellists require a medium strong rosin such as our "Cello" rosin, which is slightly harder and ideal for steel core strings, while our "Cellisto" rosin features a softer quality is better suited for gut cello strings.

Because bassists need to use a softer rosin, "Bass Mittel" is a soft rosin with good grip.

"Evah Pirazzi Gold" rosin also works great for both instruments and offers a powerful projection with excellent bow response on these strings. For cellists the "Evah Pirazzi Gold" rosin is our recommendation to use with Perpetual strings.
