The team created the iconic sets of MOCKINGJAY in 2014 and we are thrilled to recreate the universe of THE HUNGER GAMES: THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS & SNAKES again in Berlin and Brandenburg. We appreciate the partnership with director Francis Lawrence, producer Nina Jacobson and the entire production team and are grateful for our fantastic local crews and cast!

Get a glimpse of some of the film locations then and now and go watch THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS & SNAKES. As Francis Lawrence himself said recently at the film’s Berlin premiere: “I think we had the best crew that I ever worked with and primarily it was a German base crew that was truly amazing.”

Take a behind-the-scenes look at the amazing sets for the Hunger Games prequel directed by Francis Lawrence. Built by the Studio Babelsberg Art Department, the set construction team was led by renowned production designer Uli Hanisch. THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS & SNAKES is in theaters now!

▫️Zoo enclosure for the Tributes created in a picturesque park in Berlin
▫️Highbottom’s classroom came to life at one of Berlin’s oldest academic buildings
▫️Berlin’s iconic Olympic Stadium became the exterior of the Hunger Games arena

Wir freuen uns sehr das Internationale Filmfestival für gehörlose Filmschaffende und den Della Award 2023 zu unterstützen. Und wir freuen uns ebenso, dass im der Della Award zum ersten Mal vergeben wird.

Das Festivalprogramm verspricht tolle Filme, die ab heute, vom 10.-11. November, im Thalia - Das Programmkino zu sehen sein werden.
Dank des Festivals werden gehörlose Filmemacher:innen und Schauspieler:innen sichtbar, die für die gesamte Filmbranche wichtig sind.
