Cameroonian content creator Jesus Girl has been held at the Brigade in Buea for the past five days.

Not too long ago, the owner of a TikTok account () contacted Jesus Girl on WhatsApp for an advert. Vadispay claimed to be involved in buying and selling crypto, as well as currency exchange.

After doing one or two basic checks, Jesus Girl went ahead and advertised the company … checks which were clearly not sufficient, considering the current situation.

One of her followers, trusting the platform of her favorite comedian, sent the sum of 10,000,000 frs CFA to the company to convert into Chinese yuan.

The company collected the money and vanished into thin air.

Jesus Girl has now been apprehended and risks going to jail because of this case.

The victim, who lost 10,000,000 frs CFA, is understandably furious and unwilling to show any mercy at the moment.

Efforts to trace the culprits are ongoing but slow, and with each passing day, Jesus Girl spends yet another nightmarish night at the Brigade.

This situation is happening at a time when Jesus Girl is already at her lowest financially. Recent health issues have drained her savings, and she is currently navigating a very fragile period of her life.

The plan is to raise a reasonable amount of money so she can make a deposit to the victim and sign an undertaking with a clear payment plan for the remaining balance.

This will help her regain her freedom while authorities continue working to track down and arrest the actual perpetrators.
