20 years of IONO Music.

It’s hard to believe how quickly two decades can pass — two decades filled with music, people, nights, ideas, and countless moments that shaped my life and the lives of many others.

When I started IONO Music back in 2005, I had a vision, but no idea how far this journey would take me. I simply wanted to release music with depth. Music that carries something inside. Music with soul. And today, after almost 1,000 releases, more than 3,200 tracks, and over 600 artists, I feel one thing above everything else: gratitude.

IONO Music became so much more than a label. It became a part of my heart, a part of my story, and above all, a part of a large global community of artists, friends, dancers, and supporters — without whom none of this would have been possible.

I want to thank every single person who has been part of this adventure in any way. To all the producers who trusted us with their art. To all the DJs who carried the IONO sound across dancefloors around the world.

To all the fans who have listened, felt, dreamed, and supported us throughout the years. To all partners and the people behind the scenes who keep everything moving day after day.

IONO Black and IONO Lounge joined along the way — small side branches of the original vision, born from the same passion but always intentionally in the background of the main label. They expanded the space, broadened the horizon, and enriched the depth of the IONO universe. But at the center, then and now, stands IONO Music.

This anniversary is not the end of a chapter — it’s the beginning of a new one. Because as long as there are people who feel music, there will be a story for us to write together.

Thank you for 20 years of trust, support, inspiration, and love. Thank you for sharing this journey.

Liebe mushroom-Family 💜🍄,
wir wollen ein wichtiges Update mit euch teilen. Unsere Website mushroom-magazine.com ist seit einer Weile offline – und es sieht leider so aus, als würde das erstmal so bleiben.
Der Grund ist unschön, aber real: Immer mehr K.I.-Bots crawlen alte Bilder aus unserem 25-Jahre-Archiv und spüren einzelne Fotos auf, bei denen im Hintergrund irgendwann mal Rechte unklar übermittelt wurden. Obwohl wir nie bewusst Copyright verletzt haben und all unsere Inhalte von Artists, Fotograf:innen, Veranstalter:innen oder Promo-Teams kamen, werden wir aktuell mit teuren Copyright-Forderungen von Bildagenturen konfrontiert. Und ein Hobbyprojekt kann solche Summen einfach nicht stemmen.
Das mushroom magazine hat schon lange keine Einnahmen mehr und wurde über die letzten Jahre vor allem mit viel Herzblut, Community-Spirit und Liebe zum Culture-Vibe am Leben gehalten. Aber die Risiken sind inzwischen größer als das, was wir tragen können.

Unsere Facebook-Page bleibt weiter bestehen – offen, liebevoll gepflegt und voller mushroom Vibes. 🌈🪄

On our own behalf ✨ The second-to-last curtain? ✨
Dear mushroom family 💜🍄,
we want to share an important update with you. Our website mushroom-magazine.com has been offline for a while now – and unfortunately, it looks like it will have to stay that way for the time being.
The reason isn’t pretty, but it’s real: more and more A.I. bots are crawling old images from our 25-year archive and detecting individual photos where publishing rights were not clearly passed along at some point in the background. Even though we never knowingly violated any copyright and all our content was always provided by artists, photographers, promoters or festival organisers, we’re now being confronted with expensive copyright claims.
And a hobby project simply can’t absorb costs like that.
The mushroom magazine hasn’t generated any income for years and has been kept alive mainly with passion, community spirit and love for the culture. But the risks have now grown beyond what we can carry.
The good news: 🙂
Our page will stay online open, lovingly maintained and full of mushroom vibes. 🌈🪄
