GRAF finished the drumrecordings for their new EP in just one day.

We re-amped the guitars simultaneously while recording the drums using the unholy PEAVEY Tri-Unity. The two Bandits and one Pacer nearly opened up a portal to another dimension through sheer SPL...

The sound you hear in the reel is 'as recorded'.

The Pre-Mix is also already in progress and turning out just perfectly to fit the vision of the artist.

With the VAMACARA session in the bag I am already setting up the amps for the next one, which will be GRAF from the Netherlands.

For the re-amping we will be using the unholy trinity of two PEAVEY Bandits for the guitars and a PEAVEY Pacer for the bass... ...the sound pressure level in the guitar room is nearly unbearable already. Just how it is supposed to be!

While preparing the VAMACARA Drums for the next production steps I felt like I should give it a go and put some roughly mixed bars of my playing under a small, simple video...

So if you are looking for real drums played by a real human, recorded through fine analog gear by a guy with over 25 years of experience in Extrme Metal production let's talk. It' will always sound better as VST Drums and it won't break the bank.

Since re-kindling the flame of me playing drums again earlier this year I did two session for other artists already with the just finished one for VAMACARA beeing the most challenging... ...but it was worth the pain and sweat! Hahaha.

Of course all drums were recorded as analogue as possible not using any Triggers or programming!

And another new member of LIQUID AETHER Audio's Amp rooster... ...this time it's a PEAVEY Bandit 75. It may not have been the smartest move of PEAVEY to bypass the Tonestack when switching to the Lead Channel but is it needed there anyway? Nah! Just hook up an HM-2 to this littler Amp and you're instantly 'there' (Connoisseurs know where 'there' is).
