RIP Thomas Lindberg

The picture below was the first glimpse I got of Thomas when watching VIVA' Metalla sometime in the mid 90s and his maniacal stare and appearance together with his early vocals on 'The Red In The Sky Is Ours' and 'With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness' completely transcended for me what I knew of Black and Death Metal up to this point.

And although I found later AT THE GATES to be rather boring, the first two albums are still a staple in my regular listening...

Have been recording with for two sessions in the past weeks working on their first demo. Very surprising, groovy metal from a fresh young band!
