Sometimes we’re so used to measuring ourselves by what we achieve that we forget to notice the kind of person we are becoming along the way.
We count promotions, degrees, money, milestones, followers, birthdays, and all the things that are easy to put a number beside. But some of the best things about a person will never fit neatly on a scorecard.
It’s remembering something small someone told you months ago. Making time when life is already busy. Being the person someone can call without wondering whether they’ll be judged. Staying kind when there is nothing to gain from it. Caring even when nobody notices.
And perhaps being a “10/10” was never about being impressive in every part of life.
Maybe it’s about having a heart people can trust, values you don’t abandon when things become difficult, and a way of moving through the world that leaves people feeling a little more seen.
You will have days when you doubt yourself. You will make mistakes. You will still have things to work on.
None of that cancels the goodness already living in you.
So while you’re becoming better, don’t forget to appreciate who you already are. 🤍
