We’ve reached episode #55 of our Groovebox podcast series, live recorded by Felix Kropf.

Felix Kropf is a Berlin-based DJ, promoter, and booker. After several years of late nights and early mornings on the floor and behind the booth, he has developed a distinctive and continuous sound shaped by his vision of moving back and forth between house and techno.

This set captures one part of a 4,5-hour closing set at Paloma in March, right after Skyra.

We’re back at C2 Ost for another showcase. This time joined by Saarbrücken’s finest klubklubklubklub crew.

C2 Ost has become one of Karlsruhe’s key spaces for underground electronic music and returning always feels right. For this edition, Schimmer and klubklubklubklub join forces for a night shaped by carefully selected sounds and shared energy across two floors.

On the first floor expect driving techno, while the second floor moves through house, breaks and finest disco selections. Two crews, different approaches, one curated night built around music that speaks for itself.

Episode #69 of the Schimmer podcast series is mixed and recorded by San Francisco-based Kudeki.

Equal parts curator and performer, Kudeki has spent the last decade cultivating the darker side of the Bay Area’s dance music scene. Her collective, Endzeit, focuses on long-form techno in unique spaces, and has quickly become one of California’s most forward-thinking techno gatherings.

She has recently released music on Berlin’s W133 Records, Martyn’s 3024, LA’s Delusional Records, and Pittsburgh’s Perimeter Junk, and has shared the decks with artists such as Freddy K, Helena Hauff, Rrose, Silent Servant, and Aurora Halal.

Cynthia Matisse tends to play a wide range of genres. She started DJing with house music, vinyl only and soon developed her sound to techno and later on into more polyrhythmic fields like bass, DnB and dubstep. Cynthia Matisse has been shaped by electronic music through her family since she was a child.

With this mix she explores a calm hypnotic, yet dubby and driving sound, while maintaining a captivating energy. It’s a hybrid of vinyl and digital, focused on telling a story by building up slowly into warm atmospheres.

We’re back with our podcast series episode #66 recorded and mixed by Espen Lauritzen.

Espen is a Bergen-based DJ and founder of Krill Music, established in Buenos Aires in 2011 and later shaped between Berlin and Kyiv before returning to Norway. His sound is rooted in hypnotic, driving techno built for long-form sets and focused dance floors.

In Bergen, he has established himself within the underground through his curation of Foundation and Runekode, collaborations with HotHot Festival, and independently produced warehouse raves. He is a former resident at Metaculture in Kyiv and has performed at Berghain, Tresor, RSO and Khidi.

HOTSTUFF x RENNBAHN x SCHIMMER

C2 Ost has proven itself as one of Karlsruhe’s most vital spaces for underground electronic music and there is no place we would rather return to for this night. A venue that understands what it means to let the music speak, unfiltered and uncompromised.

For this edition we are joined by two collectives we hold in the highest regard: Rennbahn from Heidelberg and Munich’s own Hotstuff. Three crews, three distinct perspectives on sound, united for one night on the same floors.
