I recently drove the Mazda Mazda3 and what a fantastic small sedan! The turbo 2.5L 225 hp 310lb-ft torque engine is an absolute gem. On the exterior, Mazda continues to have the best red in the industry, and the Mazda3 is gorgeous. The interior is also gorgeous, with high-quality materials and a nicely contrasting color scheme. Best of all, it has buttons and k***s instead of forcing everything through touch! I *REALLY* enjoyed driving this Mazda3 Premium Plus. Mazda is ensuring great small cars continue to exist and isn't taking any half-measures with them. Well done, Mazda! The Mazda3 starts at $23,615, including $1,065 destination, and the Premium Plus model I tested is priced at $34,710, including destination.

All electric driveway this week. The 576-horsepower Kia EV6 GT and the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat. Two very different, but both great vehicles. The EV6 GT makes you giggle like Ron Swanson in Parks and Rec when you mash the fun pedal and the F-150 Lightning is everything we love about the normal F-150 with zero emissions, more performance, more cargo space, and a much smoother ride. Both vehicles are at the top of their respective classes. Going to enjoy driving these vehicles a lot this week!

Ford returning to F1 from 2026 in partnership with Red Bull Oracle Racing!

American automotive giants Ford have confirmed their intention to make a Formula 1 comeback when new engine regulations are introduced in 2026, meaning another chapter will be added to the American organisation’s rich history in the sport.

Driving the Ford Bronco Everglades this week and I think I’ve found my favorite Bronco trim so far. I love the Bronco Raptor but this is the perfect all-around Bronco looks and capability wise.

This isn’t just an accessory package, either. Ford raised the vent tubes for the axles, transmission and transfer case, then gave it a cleverly integrated custom snorkel. Water fording depth is 36.4 inches, which is a 2.9” increase over the Bronco Sasquatch package.

35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires wrap what I think are the best damned wheels you can get on a 4x4 from the factory today. Power is from a 300-horsepower 2.3-liter four cylinder engine, which reminds drivers that outright speed is not the Bronco Everglades purpose in life. Get the Raptor if that’s what you’re looking for.

Also awesome are the Everglades specific fender graphics and the standard Warn Zeon winch up front.

This is the Bronco I’d buy with my own money without question.

I enjoy very few things more than an early Sunday morning drive with a great group of friends and a great group of cars. This month’s GOAD trip took us through some curvy roads to the northwest of Houston, through the Sam Houston National Forest. This month’s drive was a recon run with 12 cars to see if this route could manage a larger group, and it was an absolute blast.

I was driving the 2022 Lexus LC500h Bespoke Build, while everyone else brought out their own Porsches. While this is primarily a group that came together through a local Porsche club, we open our drives to all. This trip everything from a gorgeous Cobalt Blue 996 to a 1 of 500 991.2 911 Turbo S Exclusive Edition.

The best part about our drive group is that everyone has fun regardless of what car they’ve brought out. These cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed, not just stared at in a parking lot, and once a month, we do just that.

Get Out and Drive.

Been driving this Nolita Grey 2020 Range Rover Evoque First Edition this week, and have to say it’s grown on me during the last week. It drives well, has a peppy 246 horsepower 2.0T, is quiet and extremely comfortable. Plus the design is killer. The UI/UX of the Infotainment/controls though infuriated me just as it does in all the current RR products. It’s slow, and never seems to have the right controls on screen when you need them. What’s wrong with hard buttons? Otherwise it’s a brilliant little SUV and definitely worth the trip to the local Range Rover dealer to try one for yourself.
