Many products sold as replicas are actually original items that simply failed quality control.
It usually goes like this: Factory A gets a contract from Brand B to produce a set number of items. The factory has a quality control approval rate of, say, 95%—which is usually supervised by the brand itself. This means 5% of the production gets rejected and is supposed to be scrapped, while the factory keeps manufacturing until the full order is met. https://bitbemu.iceiy.com/Luxury.html
However, that rejected 5% rarely gets destroyed. Instead, the factory quietly diverts these items and sells them off as "replicas" or "counterfeits." They usually price them just high enough to cover production costs and make a small profit.
While outright counterfeits definitely exist, a large portion of these "top-tier replicas" come from the exact same assembly lines as the originals—they're just the pieces that didn't pass inspection.
