I recently had the pleasure of mixing the debut EP by Mattze aka Would.
With his very good sense for catchy vocal melodies, tasteful guitar licks, an unerring sense for song dramaturgy and his characterful, unique vocals, the mixes were fun to work on.

Since Matze and I have a lot of taste in common and both like 90's indie rock a la "Built To Spill", I had creative freedom when mixing.
A little homage to the 90s in a more modern guise and a little pop we both found just right.

In the studio, I re-amped some of the guitar tracks and the bass before the mixing. Just to give the songs a little more grip and liveliness.
I didn't have to do much on the drums and definitely no timing correction :)
The super tight and first class recorded drums by Benjamin ( from Muenster) were a great help and give the songs a lot of drive.
