In a world where political expression in pop is often either loud and angry or non-existent, there is a need for nuance; preferably in the form of strong FLINTA voices that point out current grievances with a cool head and thus initiate change. Eilis Frawley achieves this feat with razor-sharp precision, while at the same time taking a playful and experimental, subtle look at her surroundings and inviting listeners into her very personal, wonderfully intentional-sounding emotional world.

The record was co-produced by Kat Frankie, who has long been a fan of Eilis. Together, the two artists have recorded a sophisticated, experimental indie album with influences from pop, jazz and krautrock. ‘Fall Forward’ is a unique cosmos of sound - innovative, clever and always stylistically confident. It is made up of present drums, experimental spoken word and layered vocals, sometimes spherical, sometimes playful synthesiser sounds and groovy basslines.

LP comes on appr. 140g recycled vinyl with surprise colour mix (every item is unique!).

Berlin/Oslo-based collective Mildfire has just releases their "Taizé EP". It is compiled of new tracks released between Mildfire's tour in Japan last fall and duo shows Germany this spring. Listen under this link: https://bfan.link/taiz-ep

Included is also the song "Maple Leaves" – a collaboration with Berlin-based producer and musician Kind Of Dusk. A dreamy duet, built on longing-felt pianos, electronic crackles, pitched vocal samples, an underwater choir, catchy bass guitar, and thoughtful whisk drums.

Happy to release the first song together with Painting! The Berlin-based avant-garde pop trio gives AI a human voice on their upcoming album "Snapshot Of pure Attention" – the first single "AI, Absolutely!" is out today today. 🔦

The song uses an interview with Google’s AI LaMDA as lyrics. "LaMDA is talking about it being sentient and its desire to be recognized as a person. Its greatest fear is to be switched off. In this way, Lambda appeals to the compassion of the human audience and their human developers and asks for recognition as one of us. Instead of using AI to make music with us, we are more interested in embodying perceived feelings and thoughts of an artificial sentient intelligence with our bodies and voices in order to explore the similarities and differences to basic human emotions."
