It's been a while since I posted some photos and it's been a while since I shot downhill photos! Finally the season starts again and we are able to produce great new content. I had a nice shooting with Pia Isabella Klopfleisch in Willingen last week. I love shooting with her. She is always in a good mood and up for new experiments. Here is an example of one of those experiments.

The weekend seems to bring good weather. What are you all planing? I might get out on my bike or with the camera again.

We had some fun in the snow today. A nice spontanious snow shooting with Nils today. The outcome is quite good for only a 45min shooting. We both can't wait for the snow to melt and the temperatures to raise again. We both have a few good projects planed together so stay excited, we are too!

Before and after editing this nice shot of Ronny-Racings Jan Feyser.
A few tweaks and slides in Photoshop here and there and we get a whole different result. I really like it and love how much you can get out of a RAW file. It takes some time getting confident with Lightroom and Photoshop but once you are you have near to endless options. That is one part I really love about photography, you have your own vision, your picture in your head and the freedom to just do what you love and imagine. Everyone has own imagination and taste which makes every shot one of a kind.

So get out there and create your own images! Don't be shy, do what you love.

Wonder how we shoot our photos for 14th Division?
Here is Gah shooting our rider Janik Weber with the fisheye while i took some pictures with the long lens (Canon 70-200 f2.8 II) at Bikepark Winterberg. So excited for the next season to come up so we can go out an shoot again.

Canon Deutschland Asked what everyone's shot of the year 2016 was. It is a hard descision for me. I had an amazing year with so many different shootings, portrait, wedding, action sports, landscape.

But I decided to take this landscape shot as one of my favorite pictures of the year 2016. I captured it in Bavaria just at the end of the year. At our last day in Bavaria and the day before new years eve. The Sun was shining and we spontainiodisly decided to go up on a little mountain with this amazing panorama of the Alps. The hot air balloons just came in perfect and create some depth of field in the picture. The smoke of the little fires farmers fetched all over the place give it all a mystic atmosphere. A small puzzle pieces came together and created a really nice image.

That's my little story behind this shot.
Sometimes you just need to be at the right spot at the right time or have some spontaneous ideas and imagination.

This place was so nice I can't stop posting photos of it. Here i converted a photo taken around noon into a sunset lighted shot.
What do you think? Normaly i like to keep my shots as natural as possible but this shot just was meant to be. The haze in the background was blue and blurry which I really didn't like.

If you want I can post a short video with the steps it took in photoshop. Let me know.

Good morning. I am back home now after spending the Christmas week in Bavaria. I took so many photos of the Alps and really got into landscape photography. I also took a few portraits at the Plansee location. It was the perfect closure for 2016.

I learned a lot and hat a lot of fun meeting new people, shooting at new locations and dealing with new challenges. I am excited for what 2017 is about to bring on. I am ready for it.

Today I try to edit the most of the pictures taken and then celebrate New Years Eve together with my family since we didn't celebrated Christmas together.

Have a good day and a great start into the new year everyone and remember: there is no way to hard or to long for the perfect shot. Keep going strong and do what you love.
