Dear Jonathan, I am grateful that you will continue my work, publishing new and rare music for the guitar. I am sure I speak for all the composers when I thank you for ensuring their publications remain available worldwide and that new compositions from old and new composers can be published.
Being 72 this year, I have reached an age where it becomes increasingly risky to run a business like Bergmann Edition without a plan for the future in case I suddenly get ill or die. It is now taken care of, and I am very happy about that.
I will, of course, do all I can to help you in the future. And even though I look forward to spending time on other things than publishing, I am sure I can find time to contribute a little more to the guitar world in the coming years.
