In just one lyric book, I found 8 TITLES & IDEAS pages. The 5th pic was for a solo project I was going to attempt a few years ago; the 7th pic was what I had in mind for the 3rd WOODEN STAKE album; the 8th pic was me mapping out the 2nd CAULDRON BURIAL album before I even started work on it. Oh, and the inverted cross in the 4th pic I made with ash from a candle. The last pic is the front of the notebook - a classic composition book covered in black electrical tape 🖤📓

I love that when I start the layout for my MUSICA MACABRE: Lyric & Studio Diaries book (working title), I’ll have a chapter for just title pages. All of my notebooks have these random inserts of ideas I would have and quickly write them down. It’s important for me to have pages like this; sometimes they could spark the greatest flame of inspiration.

I post this after realizing just how much is actually ready for print. Still, there are features awaiting work but hopefully I can announce a late 2022 release date. Fingers crossed.

I’ve mentioned before I’ve been working on a book (working title: MUSICA MACABRE) compiling all of my lyrics, “studio” diaries, pics, etc., and thought I would share a few sample pages from my handwritten notebooks. May have to zoom in to read, but these are rough notes, drafts, ideas, etc. for my bands including HOWLING, WOODEN STAKE, SCAREMAKER, SKELETAL SPECTRE, SURGIKILL, CAULDRON BURIAL and VAULTWRAITH. If you look hard enough you’ll find the origin of the debut VAULTWRAITH album title Death is Proof of Satan’s Power.
A big reason for me to present scans of these pages is to share my writing process and to show how inspired I would be working on my music. Totally in the zone and MY work. No one else gets credit for this. It was ME who was a driving creative force in my accomplishments.
