'Roller coasters with lapbars doing crazy things' appreciation post 👏

The Bakunawa previews has brought the age old safety debate around lapbars up again, so I thought I'd share some photos of some pretty wild elements that are experienced with these types of restraint systems, hopefully to easy some nerves! 🎢

All of these coasters feature top down lap bar restraint systems, and feature some pretty insane elements, like stalls, underflips, huge reverse spikes etc - and everyone is enjoying them safely and securely, but with that added freedom that you simple don't get with shoulder restraints!

Valkyria is one of my favourite dive coasters around! 🎢

It might not be as tall and fearsome as some, but it's so smooth and elegant, and I love how effortlessly it glides around it's course 🫶

While Bakunawa is undoubtedly exciting, it'll be hard to beat this old view across the lake of El Toro, Kingda Ka and Runaway Mine Train! 🎢
