📬 Our first postcard really said "if I can't go to ancient Egypt, I'll bring ancient Egypt to me"! 📬

This summer I've been neck deep in my personal DIY projects, and one of them was a beret inspired by the god Nefertem and one of Egyptian creation myths. Nefertem is depicted with an Egyptian blue water lily (Nymphaea caerulea) on his head, representing the flower that emerged from primordial waters during the creation of the world. I think it's really beautiful imagery, and I wanted to make something inspired by it for myself.

Call for papers!

Chronolog is now open for submissions for our 4th issue.

If you are interested in the ancient cultures and heritage in Southwest Asia and Northeast Africa, this is the journal for you!

Chronolog is an open-source, peer reviewed student journal. The journal is open for international students and recent graduates.

Deadline is 1 October and we can be reached at [email protected] for further questions and submissions

📣 We are very excited to announce that due to an increased interest in the journal, and after careful consideration, Chronolog has decided to branch out, and we are now
accepting articles from students and early career researchers without a connection to the University of Copenhagen!🥳

This is a big step for Chronolog in our mission to aid students to get published and share their work with their peers 😍

Chronolog is a student journal with a focus on the cultures, languages, history and humans in the ancient Southwest Asia and Northeast Africa.
The journal is peer reviewed and open access!

Grab your study-buddy and join Chronolog's writing workshop next Tuesday, when we learn how to write like researchers!📝

Chronolog has invited Elsa Yvanez, ass. prof. at UCPH, and Sofus Stenak, PhD student and prehistoric archaeologist, to speak at the workshop and teach us all about how to develop articles from coursework and how to prepare for peer review.

After, there will be opportunity to work on your own writings with help from the Chronolog editors (and some study-snacks, of course🥨).

The workshop will be held at Søndre Campus in room 12.0.47, Tuesday 19 May at 4pm.
