Det nye MAYA ONGAKU album er just landet i butikken:

"Maya Ongaku doesn’t need to turn up the volume to make a statement. The trio — specializing in a mellow, hypnotic brand of psychedelic rock — has spent the past few years quietly making waves, both at home and overseas, while working outside what guitarist and vocalist Tsutomu Sonoda calls the “rigid system” of Japan’s music industry."

Ahead of its second album release and a show at Fuji Rock, the psychedelic rock trio from the Shonan Coast is looking back and paying it forward.

DIRE STRAITS: On Every Street
-2LP Black, Half-Speed Mastered Originally released in 1991, On Every Street is the sixth and final studio album by Dire Straits. Recorded at London’s AIR Studios, it features “Calling Elvis,” “Heavy Fuel,” “On Every Street” and “The Bug.” This National Album Day edition is presented on 2 x half-speed mastered 180g black vinyl, cut using a specialist technique overseen by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, with printed inners, series-branded obi-strip and Abbey Road certificate of authenticity.-

PULP: Different Class
-2LP Ultra Clear Vinyl One of the defining albums of the 1990s, Different Class brought Pulp international acclaim, won the 1996 Mercury Music Prize and debuted at No. 1 in the UK. Featuring “Common People” and “Mis-Shapes/Sorted for E’s & Wizz,” this National Album Day edition presents the remastered album as a standalone 2LP on artist-selected ultra clear vinyl, housed in a unique gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves.

SIMPLE MINDS: Street Fighting Years
-2LP Green Transparent Vinyl Originally released in 1989, Street Fighting Years saw Simple Minds at their most ambitious, delivering an album of big songs and powerful themes. For National Album Day and its Icons and Inspirations theme, the album is released as a limited-edition 2LP on green transparent vinyl, marking its first pressing on coloured vinyl.

ELBOW: Asleep In The Back
-2LP Marbled Light Blue Vinyl Released in 2001, elbow’s debut album introduced one of Britain’s most influential bands, featuring “Newborn,” “Scattered Black And Whites,” “Powder Blue” and “Asleep In The Back.” To mark its 25th anniversary, the Mercury-nominated album is pressed on 2LP marbled blue vinyl for National Album Day.
