A few days ago one of Beate Willma s piano pieces for four hands called 'Monkeys by Day and Night'' from The Animals' Ballet, op. 2, was performed during the annual concert of Musikschule Brigittenau in Vienna! Two young pianists (Yana Georgieva and Matthias Walzl) played the music - instructed and inspired by their piano teacher Mrs. Paulina Tcholakova. 😊

It is wonderful that Beates' music is played from time to time - and exactly in the way, she wanted it: for piano pupils to have fun while training different techniques!

Thanks a lot to Isabell Köstler from Schola Resupina for the video recording - and to leader of the music school in Vienna, the pupils and their parents for allowing me to post this!

Yesterday I took part in an event called Ladywalk Agger - where about 2700 women walked 3, 7 or 12 km, had a lot of fun and fundraised for research in diseaces affecting women.

I was there together with great people from Nationalpark Thy I Billeder to tell about the book about Lodbjerg Klitplantage which was published by Sirenvibes.com in 2023. It was a a beautiful day at the West Coast of Jutland: sunny and windy!

Thanks a lot to Lone Mark from Ladywalk Agger for inviting me and to Mads, Lone Lærke Krog, Per and Evelyn for great company as we talked to a lot of people about Nationalpark Thy and the history of Lodbjerg Klitplantage.

The book (in Danish only, sorry) can be purchased online via Nordisk Korthandel, scanmaps.dk (search for: Lodbjerg Klitplantage). Or you can buy them locally for instance at the tourist information in Agger, at the local grocery in Agger or in Hurup Boghandel .

Happy New Year - and may 2024 bring peace to all and help humanity move in a more dignified and sustainable direction! It may sound like a lot to ask for, but we need to keep hoping and work for just that.

For Siren Vibes Publishing, the year 2023 included the publishing of one book and two great events with literature or music published by Siren Vibes Publishing. Both events were wonderful!

In 2023 I realised a small book project and published the booklet on the publishing house that Beate Willma and I jointly established. The booklet is about a plantation in Thy in the Western part of Jutland. A beatiful area where my father worked as a forester for more than 30 years.

Beate supported me during the time when my father got very sick and later died from cancer. She also encouraged me to write and take up the challenge of completing the booklet when it became clear that my father would not be able to do so. And she would have loved to see the booklet out! 💚

The booklet tells the story about how the forest was established 100 years ago as part of the efforts to protect the area against huge amounts of sand covering fields and houses in the area. A result partly of deforestation and partly of natural changes in temperatures. It also tells a lot of other stories from the area, so if you are planning a trip to Thy in 2024, reading the booklet is a good way to start dreaming!

The booklet (in Danish only, sorry!) is out for sale at a local bookshop called Hurup Boghandel - and they will be happy to post it to you should you want to use it as a Christmas gift or otherwise.

Enjoy the beatiful sceneries in landscapes covered with snow and take care!

On Sunday 22nd October 2023, an amazing concert took place in the Basilika in Wiblingen near Ulm in Germany. The four motets composed by Beate Marion Willma were performed by the Knabenchor Capella Vocalis Reutlingen.

The Schola Resupina lead by Isabel Köstler (an old friend of Beate) sang their heavenly Gregorian Music and Reiner Schulte (also an old friend of Beate) played Bach and made improvisations during the concert. Thanks to all involved for a very beautiful concert and a wonderful way of remembering Beate. ❤️

As some of you may know, Beate Marion Wilma - with whom I established Siren Vibes Publishing in 2021 - was a multi-talented person - who also composed church music.

And I am very pleased to tell you all that her Four Motets for Church Use will be performed at a memorial concert in the Basilika in Ulm in Germany (where she was born) on 22. oktober 2023. The motets are also available in a beautiful printed version if you would like to obtain a copy (please write to [email protected] if you are interested or contact me via Facebook).

As I think, you all know, Beates piano-music for four-hands called The Animals' Ballet is out as well - on Spotify and in a printed version that came out on Sirenvibes.com earlier this year. Can be ordered from NodeHuset.dk. We have shared info about this with all music schools in Denmark and hope Musiklærerforeningen and others will be interested. The music is lovely!
