How would you count this? I think of it as a bar of 7/8 followed by a bar of 5/4 and repeat them. I don’t count at all while playing, once I have the groove and music internalized. But it helps me get an overview while deconstructing something and coming up with a groove. I shared notation in the 3rd slide.
