I denne måneds episode af hans radioprogram WaxWorks har Nyboe endnu engang slået sig sammen med Nicho1 for at lave en årlig opsummering af deres yndlings ikke-hiphop udgivelser fra 2025 fra deres personlige vinylsamling.

I denne episode af Nyboes radioshow Wax
Works vil de to gennemgå deres pladesamling for at finde nogle af deres favoritter fra året 2025, så forvent alt fra coverversioner af franske 70'er-soundtracks og library music samt livebandversioner af MF DOOM til moderne UK-jazz, mellemøstlig psych-rock og et par danske plader.

Så lyt med for at høre, hvad der er sket i 2025 inden for alt, der ikke er hiphop.

Nicholai, også kendt som Nicho1, er en rapper/producer fra Aarhus. Han arbejder hos Reverbvinyl - en pladebutik, hvor han betjener kunder, kuraterer hiphop-sektionen og organiserer events.

A while ago I was invited to record an all-vinyl mix for Diggin Time ’s YouTube channel with only Danish music and back in November I filmed it live at Funhouse : Café Vinyl & Vinbar in Vesterbro, Copenhagen.

35 tracks released somewhere between the 1960s and this year - 2025 - especially focusing on Danish jazz, soundtracks and beats as well as classic breaks and samples. Some more well-known than others, some used on classic Danish rap tracks and some that for some reason have not been used yet as far as I know.

The mix is ​​especially inspired by Danish DJs, producers and record collectors such as DJ AOK, Ghettosvend, DJ JSPR, Tue Track, Per Vers, Ali.Kabali, Lars Da Fari, Lukas Lunderskov and Lil’Jay as well as the record curators in stores such as Paname City Records , Reverbvinyl, Palmspree, Pasteelo and Rekords.

And big up to all the current musicians and producers in the mix: I Am An Instrument, Turkman Souljah, Manus Nigra, Berlin Zoo, Yellow Spoon, A Plane To Catch, Ahead, BIMS, Tudsegammelt and AddisAbabaBand. The Danish music scene is doing well the last 10 years or so - at least in the underground!

For lidt tid siden blev jeg inviteret til at optage et vinyl-mix til Diggin Time på YouTube med kun dansk musik og tilbage i november fik jeg det filmet live hos Funhouse : Café Vinyl & Vinbar på Vesterbro.

Det blev til 35 numre fra alt mellem 1960’erne til i år 2025, især med fokus på dansk jazz, soundtracks og beats samt klassiske breaks og samples. Nogle mere kendte end andre, nogle brugt på klassiske danske rapnumre og nogle der ikke er brugt endnu.

Mixet er især inspireret af DJ’s, producere og pladesamlere som DJ AOK, Ghettosvend, DJ JSPR, Tue Track, Per Vers, Ali.Kabali, Lukas Lunderskov og Lil’Jay samt pladepusherne i butikker som Paname City Records / Adrien Pastor, Reverbvinyl / Nicho1, Palmspree / Anthon Stacks, Pasteelo / Jabar Ligla og Rekords / Jakob med K.
