Recently, I had the chance to visit Rosenborg Gardens, one of the oldest and most visited parks in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark 🇩🇰

Originally established in the early 1600s as the private gardens of King Christian IV’s Rosenborg Castle, this place is full of history and charm. The castle itself was used by Danish royalty as a residence until around 1710, and it truly feels like a walk through time!

Such a peaceful and beautiful spot to relax, take in the scenery, and imagine the stories these grounds could tell. If you're ever in Copenhagen, don’t miss it! 💚

No More Work Permits or Family Visas for Some Foreign Students in Denmark Starting May 2nd!

Starting 2 May 2025, third-country students (i.e., non-EU/EEA nationals) enrolling in non-state-approved higher educational programs in Denmark will:

No longer be granted:
1. A limited work permit,
2. A 6-month job search stay after graduation,
3. The right to bring accompanying family members.

These changes apply only to new applications submitted on or after 2 May 2025.

However, those who already have or applied for residence permits before 2 May 2025 will not be affected and will retain their rights, including for extensions.

The stated aim of the amendment is to ensure that residence permits are issued only to those whose true intention is to study.

Last month, on February 22nd, we visited Sofia, Bulgaria, for a trip.

It was a great experience exploring Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, known for its rich history as part of the Ottoman Empire. There are many historical sites from that era, though the culture has evolved significantly over time.

One of the most fascinating parts of our visit was the Banya Bashi Mosque, the central mosque of Sofia. Hearing the beautiful Adhan after a long time was an amazing experience, and we had the chance to pray Asr there.

We spent three days in Sofia and also tried some Bulgarian food, including Banitsa and Bulgarian Shawarma, which was slightly different from other shawarma—the bread was crispier and quite delicious.

One challenge we faced during our visit was that it was difficult to get around without cash.
