Tenor Gabriele Mangione returns to the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu, Estonia, on September 13 to sing the role of Rodolfo in Puccini’s timeless La Bohème. Ascolta Artists is proud to represent Estonian conductor Risto Joost as general management in Opera Houses and in Demark for Symphonic work as well.

He is celebrated for his artistic versatility and strong presence in both the opera pit and on the concert stage. Since the 2024/25 season, he has been Chief Conductor of the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, while also serving as Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian National Theatre Vanemuine in Tartu since 2020/21.

Renowned for his operatic interpretations, Joost has led productions of Don Giovanni, La Bohème, Turandot, Julius Caesar, La Traviata, and The Magic Flute, and is preparing a monumental Wagner Ring Cycle (2026–2029) in collaboration with the Saaremaa Opera Festival. In 2025/26, highlights include Mahler’s Symphony No. 3, Strauss’s Eine Alpensinfonie, and a new production of La Traviata.

A sought-after guest conductor, he has appeared with orchestras including the Helsinki Philharmonic, Bergen Philharmonic, Bavarian State Orchestra, Netherlands Philharmonic, and the Estonian National Symphony, as well as with leading vocal ensembles such as the RIAS Kammerchor and the Swedish Radio Choir.

Joost’s artistry has been recognized with top honors, including the Estonian Theatre Union’s Music Award (2022), the Music Award of the Estonian Cultural Endowment (2016), and prizes at the Malko (2015) and Jorma Panula (2012) Conducting Competitions.

Ascolta Artists is proud to represent Danish-German soprano Denise Beck in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland area.

Celebrated for her luminous tone and versatile artistry. A graduate of Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts and the Royal Danish Academy of Music, she debuted at the Volksoper Wien in 2009 and has since performed at leading houses including the Staatsoper Berlin, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Oslo Opera, and Royal Opera Stockholm.

Her repertoire spans from Mozart and Humperdinck to Offenbach and Puccini, with highlights including the four heroines in Les contes d’Hoffmann and an upcoming debut as Tosca in 2025. A passionate advocate for Danish repertoire, she has recorded operas and songs by Nielsen, Schierbeck, and Hornemann, and continues to champion rare works.

In 2021, Denise Beck was knighted by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark for her contributions to the arts.

Today marked the triumphant opening of RAGNAROK (Götterdämmerung) at Den Ny Opera in Esbjerg — the grand finale of Wagner’s Ring Cycle, which the company has been building since 2017.

Ascolta Artists is delighted to welcome mezzo-soprano Anna Werle to our roster ✨

A Berlin-born mezzo-soprano, Anna has been acclaimed for her wide-ranging repertoire — from Baroque to Strauss, Wagner, Henze and Benjamin. In the 2024/25 season she made debuts as Fenena (Nabucco) at the Arena di Verona under *Pinchas Steinberg — a performance praised by La Stampa as “a truly beautiful and accomplished Fenena” — as well as Prinz Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) at the NCPA Beijing under Marc Minkowski, 3. Magd (Elektra) at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona under Michael Balke, and as soloist in Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde at the Opernhaus Stuttgart with the Stuttgart Ballett.

Her recent highlights include La Cieca (La Gioconda, cover) under Antonio Pappano at the Osterfestspiele Salzburg, Adalgisa (Norma) at Opera på Skäret, Waltraute (Die Walküre) under Gianandrea Noseda at the Opernhaus Zürich, Angelina (La Cenerentola) at the Sofia Opera, and Brangäne (Tristan und Isolde) at the Sofia Opera, Teatro Petruzzelli Bari, and Oper Leipzig. She has also sung Charlotte (Werther), Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro), Rossweiße (Die Walküre) in Stuttgart, as well as Siegrune (Die Walküre) at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl.

Anna has worked with many of the world’s leading conductors — including Antonio Pappano, Gianandrea Noseda, Marc Minkowski, Pinchas Steinberg, Marc Albrecht, Cornelius Meister, Constantin Trinks, Marc Piollet, Ivan Fischer, Thomas Guggeis, Dirk Kaftan, Ariane Matiakh — and with stage directors such as Brigitte Fassbaender, Andreas Homoki, Oliver Mears, Yannis Kokkos, Nicola Raab and Stephan Kimmig.
On the concert stage she has performed at the Gewandhaus Leipzig, Konzerthaus Berlin, Berliner Philharmonie, Berliner Dom, and the Festival Klosterneuburg, in works ranging from Verdi’s Requiem and Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël to Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium and Mozart’s Requiem, as well as Mahler’s orchestral songs and Wagner’s Wesendonck-Lieder.

We are thrilled to celebrate the opening night of Verdi’s La Traviata with Den Jyske Opera at the beautiful Store Sal, Musikhuset Aarhus 🇩🇰

🌹 In the iconic role of Violetta Valéry, the captivating Frederikke Kampmann shone on stage, joined by the charismatic Hrólfur Sæmundsson as Giorgio Germont.

We congratulate our artists on a wonderful premiere today and wish them a cascade of applause at the upcoming performances on 21 and 23 August! ✨

Our artists on stage again in Bizet’s legendary Carmen!

As part of the Copenhagen Opera Festival, Cláudia Ribas and Yana Kleyn will be performing tonight as Carmen and Micaëla 💃🏻👰‍♀️

The concert version will be presented at Festivalscenen på Den Røde Plads together with the Malmö Opera Orchestra and Chorus 🎭
