I wanted to do a pt. 2 of my break-mix “Rock Steady B-Boy S**t” from almost ten years ago. This time it’s 91 tracks mixed across 134 minutes of funky vibes.

A mix of classic and newer breaks, DJ-edits and reworks and a little bit of hiphop from around the world. A bit of classics and well-known, but also many tracks that don’t usually get played at battles or break-events.

Cover versions and reworks of classic breaks like “Apache”, “It’s Just Begun”, “Human Nature”, “I Believe In Miracles”, “The Mexican” and more.

Break-tracks and DJ-edits from the likes of LilErik, ali.kabali, Ressam El Rhythm, Emapea, J Rocc, Mutant Fingers, DJ Fleg, Esone, Double A, Cutmaster GB, DJ Zapy & DJ Uragun, DJ One Up, Illstyle, P. Swift, South DJ Scream, DJ Mattkilla and more.

Modern breaks from the likes of Flammer Danceband, Alex Puddu, Funkool Orchestra, JJ Whitefield, Dan Ubick, SUN ATLAS, Kokoroko, Funky Bijou, Visioneers, Paul Nice, Quantic, The Incredible Funk League, The Souljazz Orchestra and more.

And of course a huge bunch of classic breaks! Started with a crate of 980 song plus all the ones I have on vinyl and cut it down to these 91 tracks mixed together for a continuous groovy mix.

On this episode of WaxWorks on Black Rhino Radio, Nyboe is visited by DJ KCL for a talk about everything from discovering hiphop through the Eurovision Song Contest to learning how to produce on old samplers, becoming a DJ because you had a lot of records, rapping, owning a hip hop clothing store and much more.

DJ KCL is a Danish DJ, producer and rapper and was the first woman to win the Danish DMC - making her the first European woman to advance to the DMC Finals. You can also hear an exclusive unreleased track from the mid-90’s!

She has toured and DJ’ed with and for several international artists and played some of the biggest stages around the world. She has also been involved as a producer since the 90’e and is mentoring younger DJ’s and rappers.

In this Month’s episode of WaxWorks, Nyboe is joined by the record collector, selector, beatmaker and music entusiast Bülent K for a talk about Turkish music from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s as well as the 2020’s. Find some of you’re favorite breaks or samples or discover a lot of great music you did not know existed yet again.

Bülent K, who also goes under the artist name Ressam El Rhythm as a hip-hop / trip-hop producer, has brought some of his favorite records from his personal collection. We will also talk a bit about the Danish connection to Turkish musical traditions in forms of both original music and samples.
