So, now that there is no leaves on the trees anymore, if you see a squirrel just wait for it to eat something and maybe you'll also be surprised by how loud it is for a small animal. “Right now, worldwide, if you go to SciStarter or Zooniverse, there are between three thousand and five thousand online, active citizen science projects out-there, where you and me, and anyone interested in science to some degree can actually participate into research. [...] We looked at it and said "Oh, this sounds interesting!", then we collected a lot of really good researchers and people who work around research, locked them in a room, threw away the keys and kicked them in the behind until they come up with some good solutions.”

“I think i calculated it once. It was 128 days I spend on the bicycle, and I think a 100 days almost, I spend in a tent. Then I did a lot of couchsurfing, it works well in the city centres. But when you are in the countryside it is hard to find a place. So then I just took my tent. Sometimes in the rural areas people came up to me like: "What are you doing?" "Oh do you want to sleep in my house?" "Do you want to eat with us?". So that was really nice.”

It makes them a very interesting topic for biologists, especially for ecologists, who are after understanding evolution of life in our ocean.”
