[...] We looked at it and said "Oh, this sounds interesting!", then we collected a lot of really good researchers and people who work around research, locked them in a room, threw away the keys and kicked them in the behind until they come up with some good solutions.โ€

โ€œI think i calculated it once. It was 128 days I spend on the bicycle, and I think a 100 days almost, I spend in a tent. Then I did a lot of couchsurfing, it works well in the city centres. But when you are in the countryside it is hard to find a place. So then I just took my tent. Sometimes in the rural areas people came up to me like: "What are you doing?" "Oh do you want to sleep in my house?" "Do you want to eat with us?". So that was really nice.โ€

โ€œWorking in Denmark is a dream come true! One year ago, when I was leaving Greece, I was wondering what was going to happen. Worst case scenario, I have enough money to book a ticket and go home. And three weeks ago I was offered a position in another rehabilitation center in Greece. And I was so happy to decline that offer. I was like โ€œIโ€™m sorry I have to stay in Denmark for one more year!โ€ Words cannot describe how happy this made me feel. Of course I miss my friends, but at the end of the day, itโ€™s worth it. I found my inner peace here. โ€

HUMANS OF SDU - Podcast That Discovers Your Stories

Currently, there are over 27,000 students at SDU and almost 4,000 employees. But how many of them do you actually know? We know very few. And we consider that a pity. We believe they are all interesting people. We are sure they all have amazing stories to share. And we would like to discover and share those stories with you. Right here.

Inspired by โ€œHumans of New Yorkโ€, we will talk with people around us. People us and you meet every day at the university. But in contrast to other Humans of..., we take this to another level. In addition to introducing people here on our page, we extend the dialogues and record podcasts. Thanks to that you will have more time to really get to know the people as well as the topics they work with.

Listen to us, read us, and share us. Help us make our university less anonymous and more homey. Let us know about hidden talents and stories. Take the courage and come to talk to your fellow colleagues. Be the inspiration yourself.
