WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has reacted to fan criticisms and negativity surrounding Oba Femi losing to Brock Lesnar at Clash In Italy.
Following Femi defeating Lesnar in under five minutes at WrestleMania 42, The Beast evened the scoreboard on May 30, handing the former NXT Champion his first one-on-one loss on the main roster.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray emphasised his feelings that, not only will Oba Femi be fine following the loss, that he’ll be a bigger star because of it.

Putting it simply, the Hall of Famer said:
“To anybody that took to social media to show concern for Oba Femi, to anybody who’s listening to us this morning, concerned about Oba Femi, who think they did the wrong thing (at Clash In Italy) with Oba Femi, who thinks Oba Femi’s push is going to be affected, who thinks Oba Femi is getting buried…
“If you think one negative thing about Oba Femi’s future in the WWE because of what happened in losing to Brock Lesnar, you’re wrong.
“Oba is fine, he’s going to be fine, and when this is all said and done, Oba will be a bigger star for it.”

While it can be annoying to see a star with a lot of momentum take a loss, it was evident that WWE put a lot of effort into making Oba Femi still look strong in his defeat.
Not only did Lesnar attack Femi before the bell, Femi kicked out of four consecutive F5s very early on in the match.
The F5 has historically been a well-protected move, with Lesnar having a year-long story ahead of WrestleMania 34 building up the F5 as a move which he only needed to use once to pick up the victory.

This story culminated with Roman Reigns surviving six F5’s before a seventh finally kept him down. It also took seven F5’s to defeat Oba Femi, indicating that WWE is trying to put over Femi as strong as Roman Reigns in 2018.
Oba Femi didn’t stay down for long, winning his King of the Ring first round four-way in dominant fashion on the June 1 Raw episode, and teasing one more match against Brock Lesnar.
With SummerSlam taking place in Minneapolis, it has been heavily speculated that Lesnar could retire in his hometown. If Femi ends the trilogy of matches by retiring Brock Lesnar, WWE will assert the Nigerian star as the company’s next big thing.

Former WWE star Celeste Bonin, known to fans as Kaitlyn, has addressed the possibility of her making a return to the company.
The WWE fanbase has recently been celebrating several names who could be considered pioneers of the modern WWE women’s division, with both AJ Lee, Paige and Brie Bella competing in championship matches at WrestleMania 42.
Following recent returns, Kaitlyn was asked about potentially wrestling in WWE again during her interview on TMZ Inside The Ring.

Believing that a WWE return would make sense for her, Kaitlyn said:
“It’s interesting, I’m 39 now, I’ll be 40 in a few months, and I’m at the top of my game. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in, my body feels great, I’m more confident in who I am, my voice, than ever before.
“I’m open to it. It’s not like ‘Okay, this is my number one goal, to get back in a WWE ring,’ but I think that it would make sense.”

Noting that she is a different person to who she was when during her previous WWE run, Kaitlyn continued:
“I’m open to it. In the past, to be honest, when I would be asked in interviews ‘Would you ever go back? Do you want to make a comeback?’ I would be like ‘Maybe,’ but there was always this trepidation internally, because I felt like I hadn’t truly processed my WWE experience, like emotionally, mentally.
“There was this maturation that needed to happen within myself, because when I was there, I was brand new. I debuted without ever having wrestled before. I was just like a deer in the headlights constantly.
“I felt like I was just barely hanging on, any time I was on television or having a big match. Now, I’m such an evolved person versus who I was then. I just have such a deeper understanding of what pro-wrestling is, and the artistry of it, and the connection with the fans.
“So, I think it would make a lot of sense. I feel like I would do great, I haven’t been in the ring in a while, but some of that stuff comes back pretty easily. I’m also just smarter with how I would wrestle, and who I would be on the show.”

Kaitlyn departed WWE in early 2014, but returned in 2018 for the Mae Young Classic, being eliminated in the second round by Mia Yim (Michin).
She last wrestled in December 2019 at a GWA independent event.
In a previous interview, Kaitlyn teased having unfinished business with AJ Lee, when asked about possible opponents for a potential WWE return.

AJ Lee – who notably won the Divas Championship from Kaitlyn at Payback in June 2013 – hasn’t wrestled since losing her Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42.
While AJ Lee’s in-ring future is currently uncertain, it would be a full-circle moment to see her share the ring with Kaitlyn once more.

Mick Foley has named one area he believes AEW does a “much better job” than WWE – the booking of the midcard.
Foley recently officially joined AEW as a member of the broadcast team on the Double Or Nothing pre-show after departing WWE due to disagreeing with the company’s political affiliations.
Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show today, Foley put over how AEW books its midcard division compared to WWE, saying AEW seems to have “a little bit more pride.”

He explained:
“This is one of the first things I said to Tony. AEW has done a really good job of making their midcard mean something.
“That’s one place where I will compare the two companies. They do a much better job in the midcard. I think there’s just a little bit more pride.
“Going back to the way WWE did things – they would build a tag team for two or three years, have them win the Tag Team Title multiple times, and then two big stars who’d never teamed would face the tag team and destroy them. Showing you that the tag team was never that important to begin with, that’d be the message that I would get as a fan.
“I don’t think you see that type of thing (in AEW). That was one of the things that drew me in to AEW.”

What Mick Foley Will Do In AEW

While Mick Foley was a co-host on the AEW Double Or Nothing pre-show, he also got into it with MJF, and has yet to reveal a defined job title for his role in the company.

Asked what his role will be going forward, Foley said he’ll essentially be the “Swiss Army Knife” of AEW, explaining:
“I think my role is to be the Swiss Army Knife of AEW. I’ll work wherever I can and wherever they need me best.
“There’s quite a few things I can do. I can host those shows with Renee. Renee’s so much fun to work with. I think I can do a good job on publicity, being sent out a day or two early to get some publicity.
“I believe I could take on a managerial role for a handful of misfit babyfaces or heels, and try to take some of the guys in the middle of the card and give them a little boost up a little closer to the top of the card.”

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has commented on the future of the WWE 2K games months after the release of WWE 2K26.
WWE 2K26, which came out in March, has a 78 rating from critics on MetaCritic – down slightly from WWE 2K25 at 80 and 2K24 at 81.

In a recent financial report, Take-Two noted that 2K26 had a 7% increase in matches played compared to 2K25, as well as being up 20% in “recurrent consumer spending” year-over-year.
In a new interview with IGN, Zelnick spoke about the future of the franchise and how there are “ongoing opportunities to improve the quality of the game.”

“We’re very proud of (the) Metacritic score, we’re proud of how the title performed. We have great partners at TKO led by Nick Khan. And of course everything related to WWE continues to grow. The team over there is just crushing it. So we’re thrilled to be in business with TKO and WWE.
“I do think there’s ongoing opportunities to improve the quality of the game. I do think that we can give consumers more of what they want. And I know our team at Visual Concepts always wants to do better.
“We’re never in the business of patting ourselves on the back. We believe that arrogance is the enemy of continued success.
“And I think that title could be double or triple the size that it is as long as we delight consumers, and as long as we give them something new and not expected that’s consistent with the brand that they love. That’s our job.”

The general vibe from fans during the latest WWE video game cycle is that the series is lacking something new, with a dwindling number of differences between the previous year’s game and the new one.
Updates to the roster, entrances, attires and the other usual changes aren’t really enough to entice fans to keep buying the new games in the modern economy, so it might be time for something of an overhaul.

Mick Foley has praised the management style of AEW CEO Tony Khan and explained how it’s different to that of Vince McMahon in WWE.
Foley has officially joined AEW as a member of the broadcast team, debuting on the pre-show for Double Or Nothing on May 24, after leaving WWE due to disagreeing with the company’s political affiliations.
In an interview on the Ariel Helwani Show today, Foley spoke about Khan and his management style backstage in AEW, noting how it’s different compared to how Vince McMahon ran things in WWE.

Foley said:
“To see Tony backstage, it’s really… the word I’m coming up with is joyous. Because he’s filled with joy in that position.
“He jumps up, the first thing he does is ask people if they’re okay. He’s happy, he’s really happy.
“I’ve said many times, there’s no one way to cross the finish line, whether it’s wrestling or portraying Santa Claus or whether it’s producing a pay-per-view show.

“But I have to tell you, as a guy who always reacted better to a pat on the back than a kick in the butt, I would have really enjoyed that style.
“Mr McMahon had his own style, and of course, when he put you over, it meant a lot – he didn’t do it nearly as much.
“He didn’t jump up from his seat to meet the talent that was coming through.”

All Elite Wrestling has announced its return to Arena Mexico, with AEW Grand Slam Mexico confirmed for later this year.
As announced by Bandido on Fox Sports Mexico and later confirmed by AEW, the company will return to Mexico on August 5 for Grand Slam: Mexico 2026.
The event will air live from Arena Mexico, on TBS and HBO Max in the US and on Fox Sports Mexico in Mexico.

AEW shared the following on its official site:
AEW Grand Slam: Mexico Returns To Arena Mexico Wednesday, August 5
General Tickets On Sale This Saturday, June 6 at 10 AM CST
June 2, 2026 – All Elite Wrestling (AEW) today announced that AEW Grand Slam: Mexico will return to Arena Mexico on Wednesday, August 5. The event will air live in the United States on TBS and stream live on HBO Max and in Mexico on Fox Sports Mexico.
Tickets for AEW Grand Slam: Mexico will go on sale this Saturday, June 6 at 10AM CST via AEWTix com and Ticketmaster com mx.
Additional information regarding AEW Grand Slam: Mexico will be announced in the near future. All interested fans can register to become an AEW insider by visiting allelitewrestling com/aew-insider.

This will be the second Grand Slam Mexico event, following the first on June 18, 2025. Tony Khan had stated following this show that a return to Mexico was “almost a virtual certainty” for AEW.
Last year’s event was headlined by a 10-man tag-team match, with The Beast Mortos, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta and the Young Bucks facing off against Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs.
AEW has already held a Grand Slam event this year, with Grand Slam Australia headlined by MJF vs Brody King on February 14.

While the first four AEW Grand Slam events took place at New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium between 2021-2024, it now appears to be a brand related to recurring international visits.
With Tony Khan previously stating that he wants to hold AEW shows in France and Germany, it would make sense for one of these locations to be the next host of Grand Slam.
