Earlier this year, we signed Embla (formerly known as We Are Among Storms) to release their formidable EP “Away / A Way” on vinyl. The wait is almost over. The artwork is complete and sent to press - among the darkest and most captivating visuals we have unveiled to date. The vinyl will see the light of day later in 2025 in two strictly limited colorways. More details will follow soon! 🌪️

When we first heard Embla’s “debut” EP, we were utterly swept away - by both its sound and its staggering ambition. It is a great honor to give this work a physical form. Today it arrived from the pressing plant: the long-awaited test press of mighty Embla's A Way/Away. If all unfolds as planned, the EP will surface this autumn - sealed into a super-limited run of only 150 vinyl copies. We cannot wait to set the test press spinning. More info to come! 🌪️

NEW SIGNING: Vidnet 💀

We are proud to announce the signing of the newly formed Copenhagen-based band Vidnet (The Witness). Behind Vidnet stand seasoned forces from the Danish metal underground, and we are deeply honored to welcome them into the OTU family.

Vidnet sounds like nothing else on the Danish scene - a perfect and brutal addition to our roster. Their sound is barbaric and bleak, crushing and utterly uncompromising. Drawing from diverse musical roots - spanning post/experimental genres, black metal and hardcore punk - Vidnet conjures a chaotic yet coherent fusion of sludgy grindcore and war-metal.

Their music inhabits a world steeped in the shadows of Fin de Siècle literature and early 20th-century art. Existence is interpreted through a lens of horror, expressionism, and grotesque humor. With archaic and poetic language, reality is rendered alien and absurd, as the lyrical narrator witnesses, experiences to - and partakes in - a range of atrocities, all carried out in the name of higher causes: science, power, faith, or pure disinterested desire.

We will release their debut album on limited edition vinyl this autumn.
