We are delighted to welcome cellist Xiaomu Fang as a Larsen Performing Artist! 🥳

Since 2008, Xiaomu Fang has served as Co-Principal Cellist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, performing more than 2,000 concerts worldwide and collaborating with some of the world’s leading conductors and soloists. ✨

A graduate of The Juilliard School, Xiaomu is also a dedicated teacher and internationally recognised soloist. She performs on a fine c. 1870 Luigi Fabris cello and plays Larsen Sovereign for cello. 🎻

“I was absolutely astonished by the new Sovereign strings! As soon as Dr Thomas Zwieg from Larsen Strings changed the Sovereign C string for me, it immediately opened up the sound of the whole cello, with amazing depth, warmth, and exceptionally strong projection!” 🎶

Sovereign for cello is making impressions across the globe, and it was an exceptional pleasure to present our new strings in Spain. 🇪🇸

We met talented students and wonderful musicians for string sessions in Madrid before continuing on to our trusted partner in Spain, Casa Parramon in Barcelona.

Here, we celebrated the launch of Sovereign with local cava & snacks, and a recital by the solo cellist of the Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu: Oscar Alabau, who only days before had played on Pau Casal’s Goffriller cello for Queen of Belgium. 🎻🎶

Thanks to all for a wonderful week and for showing us the meaning of Spanish hospitality. 🤩
