Thank you The Violin Channel for sharing our latest adventure at the ESTA conference in Amersfoort! 🙏

It was a week full of music, learning and collaboration. Larsen Strings offered personal string consultations throughout the conference, helping teachers fine-tune their sound with tailored string setups – complete with complimentary string sets and expert guidance.

We also presented an engaging lecture on string acoustics, drawing in the curious and passionate string educators.

Meanwhile, GEWA Strings showcased their newest cases and accessories, and joined in conversations on how to support musicians from student to stage.

A big thank you to everyone who joined – and to ESTA for bringing our community together once again!! 👏🏻👏🏻

🎻 Thank you, ESTA 2025 🎻

What an inspiring week it’s been at the ESTA conference – filled with music, meaningful conversations - and unforgettable encounters.

Throughout the event, we had the pleasure of welcoming musicians to our stand in the Exhibitor Hall as well a as with and hosting personal string consultations in our dedicated space. Over the course of four days, we tested countless instruments, explored unique sound setups and shared insights on tone, tension and the art of string making.

From engaging lectures to hands-on testing sessions and reconnecting with old friends and new faces – thank you to everyone who stopped by, played, listened - and shared their passion with us.

Stay tuned for a glimpse into the highlights – we’re excited to share some moments from this wonderful gathering of string players.

The Violin Channel announces violinist and professor Emily Sun as new Larsen Artist.

"We've been very proud to welcome Emily Sun to our distinguished roster of artists, celebrating her profound musicality, interpretative depth and vital contribution - both as a performer and as an inspirational mentor to young musicians," Larsen Strings revealed.

Emily’s passion for performance is matched by her commitment to teaching. As a pedagogue, Emily serves as a Violin Professor at the Royal College of Music in London.

Performing on the 1753 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini ‘The Adelaide’ violin, kindly loaned by the UKARIA Cultural Trust, Emily has chosen Larsen’s Il Cannone strings to support her sound: combining the Soloist E-string with Direct & Focused Medium A and D strings and the Gold G-string.

Alongside her teaching and recording, Emily continues to perform at the highest level. Most recently, on Friday 9 May, she appeared at Bechstein Hall in London. Upcoming engagements include appearances at the Sydney Opera House’s Utzon Room series and the UKARIA 10th Anniversary Season, curated by Pekka Kuusisto
