🇨🇲 39 year-old Presidentìal candidate Ateki Seta Caxton bringing change
Ateki Seta Caxton is currently a PhD candidate in Economics and Political Economy and holds an MSc in International Relations (IRIC) and a BA in History (University of Buea). His education mirrors his leadership: deeply analytical, grounded in African realities, and globally informed.
Seta Caxton has represented Cameroon in over 35 countries and held prominent international roles:
Chairperson, African Movement for Dem0cracy (elected in Abuja)
Advisory Board Member, World Youth Movement for Dem0cracy
Hurford Youth Fellow, National Endowment for Democracy, Washington DC (2016) – one of only two selected globally
Draper Hills Fellow, Stanford University, USA (2019)
P**A Laureate, France’s Program for Future Leaders (2020)
Spokesperson, Africa–France Summit, Montpellier (2021)—joining an elìte club of Cameroonian leaders
Spokesperson, African Union High-Level Dìalogue, Arusha (2018)
Seta is a new generation leader whose track record speaks loudly.
At just 39 years old, he stands as one of the youngest presidential contenders in Cameroon’s history but also one of the most accomplished, people-focused, and visionary.
Seta Caxton is not a stranger to leadership or responsibility. A Human Rights Officer with WAA Cameroon, he is the Founder and Executive Director of NEWSETA (2013–2025), a grassroots organization dedicated to youth empowerment, civic engagement, and governance reform.
Through NEWSETA, he has:
➡️Trained over 10,000 youths across Cameroon and 10 African countries through the REPAIR Initiative
➡️Awarded grants to over 400 beneficiaries
➡️Trained more than 150 journalists on electìons, governance, and fact-checking
Mobilized over 1 bìllìon FCFA in grants for youth and civil society programs
These are not promises. These are facts.
One of Seta Caxton’s most iconic contributions is his leadership of the "Vote18" Campaign which boldly called for lowering Cameroon’s votìng age from 20 to 18.
This campaign not only sparked national dialogue but reached the halls of Parlìament and the Presìdency itself; demonstrating his courage to challenge the status quo for the sake of youth inclusion.
He also advocated for a national law on the
Right to Access Information, and pushed successfully for amendments to the
Cameroon Penãl C0de (Article 241) to crìmìnalize hãte speech, marking him as a rare figure who has shaped polìcy even without executive power.
His dìplomacy, intellect, and oratory have placed him on the world stage but his heart remains in Cameroon.
Yet, beyond policy and politics, he is a devoted husband and father of four, a community builder who has served in various roles within his village and church, guided always by the values of integrity, humility, and service.
Running under the Liberal Alliance Party (PAL) with the slogan Order. Peace. Opportunity, Ateki Seta Caxton’s vision is clear and inclusive:
Power to the people; True decentralization that lets communities shape their futures
Equal opportunity: Development that reaches all regions;no matter your language, tribe, or background
Unity in diversity: A Cameroon where differences are celebrated, not weaponized
Clean leadership: Accountability, transparency, and results not rhetoric
Ateki Seta Caxton has already done what others are merely promising. Now, he’s ready to serve at the highest level not for power, but for purpose.
