President Donald Trump’s Proclamation Honors Mary on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and Concludes with the “Hail Mary Prayer”

On December 8, 2025, the White House issued the “Presidential Message on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.” In the 2025 proclamation, President Trump publicly recognized December 8 as a “Holy Day,” honoring Mary’s sinless conception and her role as the mother of Jesus. Trump links Mary’s veneration directly to American history by stating that in 1792 the first U.S. Catholic bishop consecrated the young nation to “the mother of Christ.”

He also recounts how Catholics tied Mary’s intercession to historic victories, like the Battle of New Orleans, and notes that many churches, schools, hospitals, and institutions across the U.S. bear Mary’s name or draw inspiration from Marian devotion. This is basically putting Mary as a foundational figure for “our Great American Story.” Trump has joined Marian devotion with American national identity. America is truly forming into an image of the Roman Catholic Church.

We are witnessing the President of a historically Protestant nation issuing a national proclamation for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception—a distinctly Roman Catholic holy day—and concluding it with the “Hail Mary, full of Grace” prayer, effectively calling the nation to participate in intercessory prayer to Mary. This is open Marian veneration, a public affirmation of Catholic doctrine, and the elevation of Mary as a national religious figure.

The White House published the following, which is part of Donald Trump’s proclamation:

• “Today, I recognize every American celebrating December 8 as a Holy Day honoring the faith, humility, and love of Mary, mother of Jesus and one of the greatest figures in the Bible.” [1]

• “For nearly 250 years, Mary has played a distinct role in our great American story. In 1792, less than a decade after the end of the Revolutionary War, Bishop John Carroll—the first Catholic bishop in the United States and cousin of signer of the Declaration of Independence Charles Carroll—consecrated our young nation to the mother of Christ.” [1]

• “Less than a quarter-century later, Catholics attributed General Andrew Jackson’s stunning victory over the British in the climactic Battle of New Orleans to Mary. Every year, Catholics celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving in New Orleans on January 8 in memory of Mary’s assistance in saving the city.” [1]

• “Over the ages, American legends like Elizabeth Ann Seton, Frances Xavier Cabrini, and Fulton Sheen, who spent their lives glorifying God in service to others, have held a deep devotion to Mary. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, located in the heart of our nation’s capital, honors Mary as the largest church in North America.” [1]

• “The timeless hymn “Ave Maria” remains beloved by countless citizens. She has inspired the establishment of countless churches, hospitals, and schools. Nearly 50 American colleges and universities bear Mary’s name. And, just days from now, on December 12, Catholics in the United States and Mexico will celebrate the steadfast devotion to Mary that originated in the heart of Mexico—a place now home to the beautiful Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe—in 1531.” [1]

• “As we approach 250 years of glorious American Independence, we acknowledge and give thanks, with total gratitude, for Mary’s role in advancing peace, hope, and love in America and beyond our shores.” [1]

• “More than a century ago, in the midst of World War I, Pope Benedict XV, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, commissioned and dedicated a majestic statue of Mary, Queen of Peace, bearing the infant Christ with an olive branch so that the Christian faithful would be encouraged to look to her example of peace by praying for a stop to the horrific slaughter. Just a few months later, World War I ended.” [1]

• “Today, we look to Mary once again for inspiration and encouragement as we pray for an end to war and for a new and lasting era of peace, prosperity, and harmony in Europe and throughout the world.” [1]

• “In her honor, and on a day so special to our Catholic citizens, we remember the sacred words that have brought aid, comfort, and support to generations of American believers in times of need.” [1]

• “Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.” [1]

When Donald Trump claims that “for nearly 250 years, Mary has played a distinct role in our great American story,” he is effectively rewriting American history by inserting a Catholic narrative into a nation overwhelmingly founded by Protestants who rejected Marian devotions. While Catholics have certainly been part of America’s religious landscape, Mary has never been a central figure in the nation’s identity, governance, or civic tradition. By portraying Mary as a foundational American cornerstone, Trump is not only erasing the nation’s actual past but also conjuring a fictional history—one that suggests Catholic traditions shaped the republic when, in fact, they did not.

This reinterpretation of American history is helping to turn the United States into an image of the Roman Papacy as described in Revelation 13. Prophecy warns of a power that would rise with lamb-like qualities yet eventually speak with the voice of the dragon by uniting church and state. When national leaders extol Catholic symbols, prayers, holy days, and theological interpretations as part of America’s story, they move our nation closer to the very church-state model that Revelation 13 warns about and lay the groundwork for the coming “image of the beast.” In light of these developments, we must remain spiritually watchful, discerning the times, and firmly grounded in God’s Word as prophecy steadily unfolds before us.

Charlie Kirk’s Final Message to America: “If I have to work on Saturday, I take Sunday as my Sabbath”

On December 8, 2025, The Free Press published an article by Erica Kirk titled “Charlie Kirk’s Final Message to America.” In it, she praised the need to restore a weekly Sabbath and argued that such a practice would help heal the nation. Erica Kirk went on to suggest that the Sabbath can be “adjusted,” quoting an excerpt from Charlie Kirk’s new book in which he admits that he sometimes needed to switch his Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday.

The message is unmistakable: Charlie Kirk’s new book functions as a proselytizing effort designed to intensify the movement to reintroduce a national Sabbath rest in America. And according to both Charlie and Erica Kirk, that Sabbath can most certainly be Sunday.

The Free Press published the following:

• “Charlie didn’t write a book about the Sabbath because he wanted to learn the impact that it would have on his life. He did it because he knew it worked. The Sabbath saved him.” [1] [2]

• “There is a reason this book isn’t political. Charlie wanted to heal the country … Charlie genuinely felt that if the world had a weekly day of rest, just one, it would be the ultimate game changer. The call to action here is very important. People will say, ‘Okay, this sounds great in theory, but how do I do it?’ The answer is, it will look different for everyone.” [1] [2]

• “Charlie didn’t observe the Sabbath perfectly. There were times when he was traveling and he couldn’t do a traditional Friday to Sunday morning. So he’d have to adjust.” [1] [2]

• “Even if you don’t believe in God, you still have to rest.” [1] [2]

• “You are worth nothing when you have no rest. Sometimes, you have to sleep. Sometimes, you have to pause. Above all: There is so much more in life than what’s in your cell phone. Don’t forget to make the time to find it.” [1] [2]

• Charlie Kirk: “Occasionally, I’m asked to speak at conferences, churches, or public forums that fall squarely on weekends. And in those moments, I face the same tension many of you do: How do I honor God when life won’t slow down? Here’s my answer: I do everything in my power to plan around it. But when that’s not possible, I get creative and deliberate. If I have to work on Saturday, I take Sunday as my Sabbath. If both days are booked and filled with travel or obligations, I plan ahead to block off the following weekend for extended rest—phone off, no emails, no output.” [1] [2] (This statement appeared in The Free Press article and is taken directly from Charlie Kirk’s new book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life”).

Charlie Kirk’s new book has the potential to significantly accelerate the national conversation about reviving a weekly day of rest—specifically Sunday—because it places the idea of a weekly “Sabbath” at the center of America’s moral and political renewal. By promoting rest as the solution to our cultural decline, Kirk is helping to mainstream the very arguments that have long been circulating within Christian nationalist circles.

The entire Charlie Kirk phenomenon—his media presence, his influence in conservative circles, his Turning Point USA empire, and now the release of his final book—is being used to promote what is being called his “final message to America.” That message is simple and direct: if America is going to survive, we must return to a weekly Sabbath rest. Erica Kirk reinforces this agenda by testifying that the Sabbath “saved” her husband’s life and insists that it could also save the nation.

The problem, however, is that the Sabbath they advocate is generic, meaning the day can refer to Saturday or Sunday, depending on personal preferences. In their public statements and in Charlie’s book, they openly discuss “adjusting” the Sabbath and even alternating between rest days. This is not accidental because it makes the concept of a national Sabbath acceptable to a wider audience, regardless of denomination lines or doctrinal beliefs.

But this is precisely where the danger lies. Once the Sabbath is detached from God’s commandment and turned into an adjustable practice, it becomes much easier to introduce a counterfeit day of worship in place of the true. And in the context of America’s religious and political climate—where Christian nationalism is rapidly advancing Sunday as a unifying day of rest—the publicity surrounding Charlie Kirk’s book will certainly be used to elevate the counterfeit Sabbath: Sunday, the very institution that Scripture warns would become the papal mark of apostasy.

The Kirks are helping to create the political momentum needed to reintroduce a “Sabbath” to American life—but one that is not rooted in God’s law. Instead, it paves the way for the nation to embrace the long-foretold Sunday institution, fulfilling prophecy and setting the stage for the final crisis.

Donald Trump’s Public Endorsement of Charlie Kirk’s New Book is an Endorsement to Honor the Sabbath

President Donald Trump has publicly promoted Charlie Kirk’s new book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life,” on his Truth Social media platform. This was far more than just a casual endorsement. When a sitting president publicly urges people to purchase a book, it goes beyond a personal recommendation and actually lends political support to the ideas contained in the book. By using his platform to promote Kirk’s book—which centers on the importance of having a weekly day of rest—Trump is effectively amplifying the Sabbath rest concept to a massive political and social audience of followers.

Because the book is centered on the necessity of keeping a weekly day of rest, Trump’s endorsement serves as an unmistakable affirmation of the principles of Sabbath-keeping. The title itself announces the theme—honoring the Sabbath—and the book repeatedly emphasizes that weekly rest and sacred time are essential for personal healing, family renewal, and national stability.

Donald Trump expressed the following on his Truth Social account:

• “One month before a monster took him away from us, the Great Charlie Kirk finished his final book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life.” As Charlie often said, “If I’m to be known for anything, I want to be known for being courageous for my faith.” Charlie cared deeply about God and country, and in this powerful book, his wisdom, courage, and conviction inspire us all to turn to God for guidance against the evil in this world, which we too can overcome, SO HELP US GOD. Get your copy today at 45books.com, or anywhere books are sold!” [1]

By calling on millions of his followers to support and purchase a book devoted entirely to promoting a day of rest, Trump is elevating Sabbath observance into mainstream cultural and political conversation, giving it a platform and legitimacy that it would not have achieved through traditional marketing channels alone. In this sense, his endorsement becomes a powerful statement affirming that a sacred weekly day of rest is not merely a matter of personal belief but an idea worthy of national attention.

The significance of President Trump’s actions becomes clear when analyzed within the context of the growing Christian nationalist and Vatican-aligned agenda, which seeks to reintroduce Sunday as a day of rest and worship. Trump’s public endorsement of a book advocating for Sabbath observance helps normalize the idea that weekly rest is not only spiritually beneficial but also politically necessary. This elevates Sabbath observance from a religious practice to a matter of public health, in which America’s renewal requires a return to sacred time and weekly rest. In this way, public opinion is being conditioned to view Sabbath observance as essential to the nation’s well-being, paving the way for future debates about Sunday rest as a religiously based civic observance.

“We see the world working to the point of establishing by law a false sabbath, and making it a test for all. This question will soon be before us. God’s Sabbath will betrampled under foot, and a false sabbath will be exalted. In a Sunday law there is possibility for great suffering to those who observe the seventh day” (Selected Messages, p. 375).

My Biography

On Wednesday night of April 14th 1992 in the beautiful Caribbean island of the Commonwealth of Dominica, within the walls of the Princess Margaret Hospital, I, Jules Blandon Thomas was born to two wonderful parents. I was a healthy bouncing baby and did all what babies do. As the months rolled on I began to talk, and at nine months I began to walk. Everything went smoothly until the dilemma of my life began just about my first birthday. I fell ill and lost all mobility and my speech. I had frequent medical consultations in an attempt to correct my physical condition which became progressively worse and the doctors said that at the age of five I would die. No doctor could tell my parents what went wrong. In 1997 I went to New York, where I under- went a series of medical procedures with the hope of getting a proper diagnosis. I also went to school there which was very painful in the beginning years. In 1999 I had a nine hours surgery at the Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This involved straightening my legs, ankles and putting them in cast and putting metal plates on my pelvic joints. Soon after the surgery I faced one challenge after another but thank God for the competent doctors at Shriners and His all seeing eyes over me I was able to pull through. In 2000 I had a second surgery to remove the metal plates and to follow a daily therapy program. On the first of January 2002 I was back home in Dominica. As I grew I had a desire to go back to school although I knew that our schools were not barrier-free. Inspite of my physical challenge, in 2008 I asked my parents to enroll me at the Arthur Waldron Seventh-day Adventist Academy , where I discovered my God given giftedness. In that year I became first in my class and seconded in the entire school which was delightful, but unfortunately I couldn't continue school because I had to go upstairs which was not going to be easy on me and my parents. That didn't stop my determination and ambition to achieve my dream to have a career. In 2011 I started lessons in electric installation with a Dominica state college professor at home at the end of which I got a diploma with City&Guilds. In 2012 I asked God to show me how this world really operates and he told me Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. So I used the bible and spirit of prophesy as my microscope in my research and God did show me a lot of things. My page J.B.T MEDIA is where you will understand how the world really operates using the microscope the bible and spirit of prophesy, what happens after, its left up to your choice.
