Spain's new Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Dominica, H.E Jose Maria Fernandez Lopez de Turiso, has officially presented his credentials to President H.E Sylvanie Burton.

The Government of Dominica, in partnership with DOWASCO, is advancing the $32 million Water Sector Strategic Development Project — a major national initiative designed to enhance climate resilience, improve the reliability of water services, and modernize Dominica’s water infrastructure.

With partial funding from a grant by the Government of the United Kingdom, the project targets key water systems across the island. Communities set to benefit include Coulibistrie, Morne Rachette, Salisbury, and Grand Savanne on the west coast; Grand Fond to Morne Jaune and Castle Bruce on the east coast; as well as Calibishie in the north.
This investment marks another important step toward building a stronger, more resilient Dominica.
