A recent study published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry has documented AI-powered 3Shape Automate’s crown design accuracy and finish line detection.
The study compared dental technicians’ work with two AI-powered CAD software design programs, 3Shape Automate and Dentbird. The study concluded: “The (3Shape) Automate program exhibited an acceptability score in finish line detection and restoration design, as well as significantly lower deviation than the Dentbird program.”
