Some expeditions are measured in miles. Others, in memories.

These photos are just a glimpse of what we lived during an unforgettable week in the Galapagos. Incredible encounters, endless blue, great people, and moments that reminded us why these islands are so special.

But this expedition was about more than diving. It was about giving back, supporting conservation, sharing our passion for the ocean, and continuing a journey we have dedicated so many years to.

Grateful to everyone who was part of it. Just our small contribution to the Galápagos we love so much. 💙🌊

I turned around because I noticed a shadow behind me… and suddenly, there was a pod of dolphins diving down right behind me. Absolutely insane! 🐬🌊 They came so close and stayed with me for a while. One of those magical encounters the ocean gives you when you least expect it.

Last week I shared the video of one of the most unbelievable encounters I’ve ever experienced underwater. Today, I want to share some of the images I was lucky enough to capture from that moment. 🦈

It all happened at the very beginning of our first dive at Tiger Beach. As we started descending, I noticed a lemon shark swimming at full speed, almost as if it were trying to escape from something. Seconds later, another lemon shark appeared right behind it, and what happened next was something I never expected to witness let alone document.

Seeing this kind of behavior underwater is incredibly rare, and being able to freeze a few of those seconds into photographs makes the experience even more special.

After millions of views on the video, here are some of the still moments from an encounter that I still can’t believe I was fortunate enough to witness.

One of the wildest, rarest, and most unforgettable encounters I have ever experienced underwater! 🦈🦈

We had just arrived at Tiger Beach and were beginning the descent on our very first dive when I noticed a shark swimming past us at incredible speed. It looked as though it was trying to escape from something, so I immediately turned on my camera to capture whatever was about to happen.

Moments later, I saw another shark following closely behind. I had no idea what we were about to witness, but within seconds, an extraordinary shark mating encounter began unfolding right in front of us.

Observing this type of behavior in the wild is extremely rare, and being in the right place at exactly the right moment to capture it on camera is even more unusual. These encounters can happen very quickly and unexpectedly, making them incredibly difficult to witness especially underwater.

I was fortunate to share this remarkable experience with the legendary 𝗝𝗶𝗺 𝗔𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗵𝘆 , who was also able to capture additional footage and images from a different perspective.

After so many years of diving and filming marine wildlife around the world, the ocean continues to surprise me in ways I could never imagine. This was a powerful reminder that every time we enter the water, we have the opportunity to witness something completely new.

Without a doubt, this was one of the rarest, most intense, and extraordinary moments I have ever captured beneath the surface. I still cannot believe we were there to witness it! 🌊🎥

Antes salir de casa era sencillo… ahora somos cinco. 💙
Y con Luca y Leo aprendimos que una salida familiar ya no empieza cuando arrancas el carro… empieza mucho antes. 😂
Sillas, coche, pañales, biberones, juguetes, Tito preguntando si ya nos vamos… y nosotros tratando de recordar qué se nos olvidó.
Pero en medio de todo ese caos entendí algo: un carro no solo te lleva de un lugar a otro. También acompaña las etapas más importantes de tu vida.
Hoy nuestra familia creció, nuestras aventuras cambiaron y también las historias que vivimos en el camino.
Y pensándolo bien, Chevrolet ha estado presente en muchas historias de los ecuatorianos durante generaciones. Tal vez siempre estuvo ahí… solo que no nos habíamos detenido a pensarlo.
