💔 For months, Ms. Lety had been leaving milk for a stray cat that frequented her little shop. The cat never allowed her to touch her, never came too close—she simply drank the milk and vanished.
That changed on a Tuesday afternoon. 🧡
The cat entered the shop with something in her mouth. Ms. Lety assumed it was a mouse and stood up from her chair to get a better look.
It was a kitten. Newborn, with its eyes still tightly shut.
The cat placed it on the floor in front of the counter, turned around, and slipped back outside. 😮
Ms. Lety stood there, frozen, not knowing what to do.
Ten minutes later, the cat returned with another. She laid it beside the first and headed back out once more.
By the time the third one arrived, Ms. Lety was already on the floor with a folded blanket, waiting for them. 💔
The cat walked in with the final kitten, nestled it with the others, and curled up beside them. She looked at Ms. Lety for a brief moment. Then, she closed her eyes.
Ms. Lety says that in forty years of running her shop, she has never been granted such a profound level of trust.
That the stray cat, who never let anyone near her, had decided that this was the only safe place in the entire world for her children. 🐾
