Nobody Meets Your Eyes by Jesse Jalonen. Finland.

They are everywhere, without us observing them. These ‘invisibles’ can only be seen on camera and only heard thanks to a microphone. Footage shot in public spaces shows people who seem non-existent to everyone else in the frame. The poetic fiction of Nobody Meets Your Eyes is a tender story, about fundamental loneliness and the consolation of contact, however the latter is achieved.

Eva can't stand her mother's desire to renovate the house and get rid of the cat, which has become disorientated since her parents' divorce and now relieves itself everywhere. She plans to leave to live with her father.

Tymoteusz, a pianist - student of the Warsaw Academy of Music, returns to his hometown for a vacation. A provincial town, like many in Poland, is a place where time has stood still, especially now during hot holidays. Tymek's friends and his brother Jacek stayed in the city, also a pianist, who, however, did not enter the Academy of Music and spends time with his friends in the estate. A stay in his hometown is only a holiday stop to Western Europe, where Tymoteusz received a foreign scholarship. The central meeting point for local youth is the newly created kebab bar. Local youth live well with foreigners, but there are some minor exceptions. Over time, the conflict between a group of employees and the boys from the estate worsens. Fear and a sense of threat begin to develop in intimidated foreigners.

In São Paulo's remote countryside, a rural peasant family faces daily struggles. Fate brings them a proposal to host a mysterious stranger in their home, keeping him from the neighbors' prying eyes. The family home, situated beside a charcoal factory, transforms into a hideout for highly-wanted drug lord. Mother, husband and son struggle to keep up appearances with the neighbors and maintain their daily routine while facing the temptations of their improved finances. Eventually they want out, but how to get out is another matter. Charcoal provides an intimate view of a peasant family's life turned upside down and inside out in a very dark comedy of the absurd.
