Techstars Startup Weekend Tallinn vol.2 was a massive, massive success!!

Just like last one, the whole event vibes were super magical. Check out the official data:

🔸 52 participants showed up on Friday
🔸 21 of them pitched their ideas
🔸 12 teams were formed out of those ideas
🔸 11 teams survived
🔸 37% of the participants were hardcore tech geeks, 63% came for the vibes (coding)
🔸 72% of that 63% collectively consumed 53,798 cans of Red Bull and then they became hardcore tech geeks
🔸 We heard terms “AI-powered” and “revolutionary” about 3,685,987 times within these 3 days
🔸 53,789,534 lines of code were written by AI (thanks to all the partners for free credits) and 12 by participants (thanks to our mentors for guidance)

One detail that stood out the most was the fact that the winner turned out to be a one-person non-technical team who vibe coded the whole solution within these 48 hours (super solid project, btw).

Does that mean that the one person startup concept is already here? I guess time will tell

But more importantly, this hackathon showed us all about the importance of like-minded builders coming together, asking feedback from each other, getting help (even if they work on different projects), and building solutions that are actually useful.

Imagine 50+ builders gathering in a cozy environment to connect with each other and share all about the solutions they've been working on lately.

Last weekend, we had an opportunity to attend the grand hackathon organized by basedspace_ and Cursor in the heart of Vilnius, Lithuania 🇱🇹

Right as we stepped into the venue, we could just feel the dynamic environment of builders discussing their ideas and deciding what solutions to work on throughout the event.

Imagine, 100+ individuals coming together to work on developing the craziest ideas over the weekend.. just magical.

The overall experience was nothing short of fascinating, and we'd love to tell you all about it in this article.

Let's just say hackathon is our most favourite place to hang out ✨

Imagine, all of the builders, creators, innovators, and tech enthusiasts in one place working on solving a particular problem... just inspiring, isn't it?!

A couple of weeks ago, we had an opportunity to organize another hackathon event for the Young Entrepreneurs School from Startup Wise Guys and Estonian Business School.

Experience was fabulous and legendary – 6 teams of young passionate entrepreneurs building solutions from scratch over the weekend and getting the first taste in the whole world of startups.

Again... inspiring!!

What are the key similarities between entrepreneurs and artists?

This is the question we asked on our latest hackathon final event to the president of Bolt, Jevgeni Kabanov.

Turns out, artists, especially musicians, are at least 10 times more hustlers than entrepreneurs.

If you think about it, both of these characters have to take high risks to achieve their goals, they both need to be extremely creative in their work, and they need to stay resilient at all times.

Not to mention the relentless obsession to their craft, of course.

However, while entrepreneurs get lots of startup events, hackathons, and conferences they can attend to, it might be much harder to get started for artists.
