🚨🤫 RUMOUR: Max Verstappen has REPORTEDLY set a new UNOFFICIAL GT3 lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife earlier this weekend.

⏱️ According to YouTube channel , the reigning F1 champion clocked a lap time of 7:45 during Friday’s test session — three seconds faster than his previous best of 7:48 set earlier this year.

The lap was set during Friday’s prep ahead of Saturday’s qualifying and four-hour race.

Verstappen is back at the Nordschleife for his GT3 race debut in the ADAC Barbarossa Prize, sharing a Ferrari 296 GT3 with Chris Lulham.

🚨🧐 George Russell and his team have made a subtle but important change to his steering wheel design this season — and it had nothing to do with grip or handling feel.

After Mercedes adjusted the seating position of the drivers in the W16 (putting them further to the back of the car), Russell found his knees occasionally brushing the end of his steering wheel during cornering.

So, instead of changing his seat, the Mercedes team reshaped the lower grip area of the steering wheel (yellow oval), making it more rounded to create more clearance for his legs.

🕵🏻‍♂️ To compare Russell’s old and new steering wheel, we’ve added Kimi Antonelli’s — who, like Russell earlier this season, uses the original Mercedes design.
